#2 - This former A list actress and multiple nominee of some of the biggest awards out there is now a C lister on a good day. Well, she still has A list diva attitude though. When she was doing a premiere with some of the cast and was put in a hotel, she found out the director had a bigger room than hers. Our actress was not happy about it and asked him to switch rooms with her. He said no. She replied in a very loud voice in the middle of the lobby, "So help me, you are going to switch rooms with me or I will get on the phone to your wife and tell her all about those extras you f**ked." The director replied that he did no such thing, and the actress said, "It doesn't really matter what happened, she will believe it if I say it."
Jessica Lange (**I would agree that Jessica is not C list now, but American Horror Story had premiered three weeks before I wrote this, and had not premiered on television yet when this incident occurred.**)

DeleteNooooooo!!! I have loved JL my whole life starting with King Kong. I am still blown away by her beauty and hope I age as gracefully as she has. This does not make me happy. Gonna shut off my internets now and eat a pint of Chobani while I pretend it's Haagen Dazs. So upset I don't even know nor do I care if I spelled that correctly.

ReplyDeleteI don't care I still love her, though I think it is ironic that she used to complain in the 80's about her beauty keeping her from good roles (listening Scarlette) and time hasn't exactly been kind to her face.

ReplyDeleteJessica Lange C list at the time the blind was written? No way. As others have said she has won 2 Oscars, god knows how many Golden Globes, and more recently an Emmy for Grey Gardens. I do think though that she only did American Horror Story for the cheque not realizing the hit it would become.

ReplyDeleteI worked in Nashville when she and Sam were there during the filming of Sweet Dreams and remember both of them coming into the store I worked at-- they both seemed like very nice people. Sorry to hear this about her.

She was the illegitimate daughter of Loretta Young and Clark Gable. I'm surprised I hadn't read about it on gossip sites like this one. I guess most readers aren't old enough to remember the story. Anyway, RIP, Judy.

ReplyDeletelive. It was a pretty modest home and her and her ex were extremely gracious people. I'm not saying that there couldn't have been an argument, I just think that this one is just a rumor.
I'm not surprised by this at all -- I've heard her say really terrible things about people in the past. I have always thought she was a bitch, and this just reinforces it.

ReplyDeleteHaving had the opportunity (or as it turns out unfortune) to recently meet J.L. she is perhaps one of the nastiest people I've met in any profession. Have met numerous actors and actresses thru my work and she is on par with the worst. Was a fan of her work, but talent dosen't make up for being a bit**. And meeting her face to face, she has not aged well.
ReplyDeleteI have to say I am really disappointed to hear that. I've always loved Jessica Lange and I am so happy for her with her new found success in American Horror Story. I do have to say though, I think the success of the show, and her character took her by surprise. I think she only did the show for the cheque, not having a clue how insanely popular AHS would be, or that she would get some major awards for it.
