Blind Item #1
This former A list actress who hit it big in her teens is all grown up now and is married with children. She still acts, but has a tough time finding the same level of jobs or fame she once had when she was on the top of the world. Anyway, she and her husband are splitting because the threesomes they have always enjoyed are turning into our actress and the other woman on an almost regular basis being alone and spending time together. They are even talking about having babies of their own.

I like the Brooke Shields guess. Ringwald is on Secret Life of the American Teenager and just released a book so she is touring with it. I think she has a bit more fame going on than Shields or Milano...

Was Brooke ever an A list actress? She was very famous in her teens for the Calvin Klein commercial. Blue Lagoon was a flop.

DeleteBrooke was very much A back in her teens and it didn't matter if her movies flopped. She was still popular. Could be her I guess, but I like the Molly Ringwald guess better.
ReplyDeleteHmm is the 'married with children' part a hint? I quickly googled some guest stars and on the MWC sitcom and Tiffani Amber Thiessen came up. She's had quite a few roles on TV but nothing big.
ReplyDeleteMolly Ringwald works for me. I get that there are a lot of...uh..."free spirits" in Hollywood, but I just canNOT see Brooke Shields getting down for a threesome. Plus, I see her on TV way more than MR is these days and I think her fame level is about the same since Suddenly Susan way back in the day (costarring Judd Nelson, who costarred in The Breakfast Club with Molly Ringwald. I just blew my own mind. LOL)

ReplyDeleteBrooke has talked about having crushes on her female Broadway costars, but I don't think it's her. She still works and manages to avoid being seen as a hasbeen because she was never thought of as a great actress to begin with. Molly Ringwald is a much more interesting choice.

I checked that too but right now she only has a fiance, they aren't married just yet.

ReplyDelete"hit it big in her teens" reminds me of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, so I stick by my guess. Molly Ringwald was in a bunch of French films for years, so I have never gotten the sense that she is struggling.
Brooke Shields WAS A list (and whoever doesn't think she was was clearly not alive in the late 70s/early 80s). But I don't see it being her. Despite her early fame, she seems to have a head on her shoulders and I think she would have come out by now. I also think she's old enough that "she's all grown up now" is a bit redundant. This is probably someone in their 20s or 30s.

MaeMae. I took the blind to mean that although she still works her fame is nowhere near what it was as a teen - which being part of an ensemble cast and not the lead would still put her in the running for this blind.
ReplyDeleteIt's Molly or Melissa Joan Hart. It can't be Brooke, because she hit it big again as an adult in the comedy realm, as did Alyssa Milano. Alyssa actually became a bigger name actress when she hit her 20's.

DeleteI read Molly Ringwald's various social media from time to time and I do not for a minute think this is her. She is clearly very much in love with her husband and from what she has said about Kai Ryssdahl from NPR's Marketplace leads me to think she is on team peen.
ReplyDeleteBrooke popped into my head as well - I can remember the eighties (I'm old, too) and she was huge back then. But she was, I think, seen more as a celebrity than as a good actress. As she dated MJ when he was at his peak, she certainly had A-list name recognition. She's done one film and a few tv episodes this year, and has completed one movie coming out in 2013. In 2011 she's done two.
