Blind Item #1

This B list mostly television actor from a hit USA network show has never been known for playing on the same team, but he had two weekends in Vancouver with this BBC mainstay who everyone thinks is incredible looking and openly gay.

  6. Psych films in Vancouver. Maybe James Roday?

  7. One of the guys from Downton Abbey?

  8. Yeah, I agree it's not Bomer. He's just so pretty I had to toss his name out.

What about Jeffrey Donovan? Burn Notice is in its 7th season....

  9. I think John Barrowman in a relationship with a guy. I loved his ho-daddy character Cpt. Jack on Torchwood. My husband watches Arrow, and when he showed up on there, it was awesome.

  10. Yes as Captain Jack...so hot

  11. I think it's Jeffrey Donovan - he's always pinged my gaydar. Although I heard he's recently engaged, although I suppose that doesn't mean anything.

  12. I'm a raging heterosexual, but Captain Jack makes even my heart go pitter patter... and I'm OK with that.

  13. What lucky betch got with Captain Jack?

  14. The only very good looking and openly gay BBC mainstay I can think of is John Barrowman. That description fits him to a tee. He may have a somewhat open arrangement with his partner at this point as they've been together for 20 years.

  15. I used to be into Barrowman back in his Doctor Who days (never watched Torchwood). Lately? Not so much. Even if he's never had work done, he sure looks like it. His face is too pinched and lifted-looking. Pity, as I really wanted to like him in that Scandal episode but felt uncomfortable instead.

  16. James rodway and John barrowmam.

  17. John Barrowman is in Arrow which films in Vancouver.

  18. Wow I immediately thought of Donovan from Burn Notice as well!

Barrowman is such a fine specimen of a man.

  19. John Barrowman is a man whore. He was busted in a blind item several years ago when he was recognized at a sex club in Washington, DC after the number of partners he took on started to go into double digits. This was when he was playing at the Kennedy Center in Company. If it was him, I hope the USA guy has ready access to penicillin. http://www.agcwebpages.com/BLINDITEMS/OLDER/2002/MAYJUNE.html

  20. Do you guys only have one British television channel over there? Downton Abbey isn't shown on the BBC over here it's on a rival channel

  21. Burn notice is filmed on location in miami.

  22. Donovan is married with kids, right? How about Stamos?

  23. @Discobitch, I don't think we have any British television channels over here. Most of the British shows are carried by PBS, public broadcasting system, which is like a not-for-profit tv station. I get my fill of British tv online at different sites. I wish we did get a British station.

  24. Disco: We get BBC on cable and it appears to be a combination of any one of the UK's BBC's. The only other outlet is typically PBS of which there are 4 in my area. LUCKY! It truly depends upon the market we might be in. Also apparently one can subscribe on line to other BBC or British stations. My SIL was able to see the last season of Downton on an earlier schedule than the rest of the US.

  25. Jeffrey Donovan was engaged for a while to one woman and is now married with a baby. Barrowman sounds right, he even has it for Wesley Crusher!

  26. Thanks for the info guys :) another silly question but do you guys have to pay a tv licence?

    ReplyDelete
  27. It probably is pointing to James Roday and John Barrowman, but I kind of like the mental image of Jeffrey Donovan and John Barrowman, better.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Barrowman is probably the British one, the only other one that would make sense is Graham Norton, and he's hardly seen as a "good looking".

  29. John Barrowman in his bio ten years ago wrote about coming out

    ReplyDelete
  30. I reckon Barrowman and I'm pretty sure he's in an open relationship.

  31. Disco - Nope, there's no TV license in the US, but all the channels here have ads, with exception of paid movie-channels like HBO. PBS doesn't have ads either, and are paid for by the state and viewer donations. So it's possible to watch TV completely free here (if you don't count cost of electricity and the TV itself.)

    1. We have to pay £148 per yer to the BBC (which doesn't even have adverts btw!) you can get fined for £2k if you're caught watching live tv without having one which sucks! That's why I watch online and not live

  32. Hi Disco: In the US, we don't have TV or radio licenses. It seems like a strange concept here and I can't remember it ever being discussed (does anyone else?) The monies generated via licenses fund your public broadcast programming, right?

A good bit of our PBS funding is dependent on government whim. Some charitable foundations & civic-minded groups provide grant money, but we viewers are often subjected to long and annoying (IMO) fund-raising telethons where PBS "stars" and others beg for money from the public and dangle gifts and bonuses (CD sets, mugs, etc) in exchange for pledges.

In that light, licensure doesn't seem like such a weird idea.

  33. Zeeky: Don't forget the cost of your special antenna or set-top box; required since all broadcasts are now digital. You only access VHF channels (channels 2-13) and UHF channels (channels 14-51), and in my experience, a very paltry handful of those (a friend in L.A. gets about 12 channels total.)

  34. James Roday and Dule Hill are the first ones that come to mind. Psych shoots in Vancouver. So does Suits. Gabriel Macht and Patrick Adams are the star there.

  38. @lynn Necessary Roughness shoots in Atlanta.

  39. Roday doesn't work for me, he doesn't seem like Barrowman's type. When you see Barrowman at cons he flirts with young well built guys. Roday is too old and too soft for Barrowman. Totally agree that the BBC staple is Barrowman, though.

I don't think Sage Brocklebank could be considered B list even by Enty's weird standards, but I can totally see Barrowman going for that.
