Today's Blind Items - The Men Are Scared
Some quiet phone calls have been made over the past few weeks. The female porn star that tested HIV+ has been known to have some flings with men for money as a beard and for other things too. One of those men is a closeted B list mostly television actor who was on a very big hit for this almost network. Our actor and the porn star engaged in unprotected sex a few times in the past two months, and now, the actor, is having to make calls to lots of guys he has been seeing over the past few months. Our actor, although mainly into men, does not mind a roll in the hay with a woman, especially if they are going to be bearding for him. He thinks it makes their relationship look more realistic. He does not usually engage in protected sex with them, and people are running around frantically setting up tests and trying to do so discreetly and our actor is trying to remember names and phone numbers of guys that he met on chat lines and text lines about the situation and there is so much buzz being generated by him about all of this that he might end up being forced to come out just because there are so many people he has sex with on a weekly basis.

ReplyDeleteThis is porn whore Cameron Adams (Bay), who appeared on VH-1's Tool Academy. It is said her current boyfriend works both sides of the porn industry, called crossover talent. From what I hear, the gay side of the industry is very lax with testing, if they test at all.

Now Cameron is a crazy whore, but she did do the right thing by coming forward as Patient Zero and alleviating the fears of those who never worked with her or her man. It is just speculation at this point as to whether her man is +.
Some people may say this is proof the porn industry is dirty, but really it is proof that the testing system works to contain outbreaks. There is an industry wide moratorium on shooting, until they can retests are done on those they worked with.

ReplyDeleteIt's a sliding scale, and probably a little different for everybody. Most people are found congregating around one end of the scale or the other, but there are plenty clumped in the middle, and plenty who are somewhere in between the ends and the middle.
Some guys are gay but enjoy the occasional woman, very rarely. Some don't give a damn whether the fun bits stick out or go in, and some are generally straight but can go for the occasional man-meat.
It's just absolutely silly to claim a blind like this is suspect because it says a guy is gay but sometimes enjoys some p*ssy. Welcome to Earth, ladies and gentlemen: we have that here.

Now the tests for the first generation (immediate contact with her) have to be done. Any other positive tests would have to be reported to the CDC, but we won't necessarily find out the names, HIPPA and all. The porn ones usually leak out though. And if this story involving the celeb is true, then I'm sure she will be selling the story to the highest bidder, as her only real source of income now may be working bug chasing parties.
Well, I guess if she finds a + partner, if her current partner isn't +, then she could do cam shows with him.

@Count Jerkula - I'm gay and watch a lot of gay porn (too much really) I know who Rod Daily is and I have never seen him do a bareback scene.
ReplyDeleteYou say that there isn't much testing in gay porn but at any reputable studio they test ALL the time because of the big HIV scare in the 80s/90s. On top of that, 90% of gay porn uses condoms. The recent major trend of big studios going condomless is due to the rapid detection test (DNR/PCR) which can detect HIV within a 6-20 day window of exposure.
Straight porn never uses condoms as far as I've seen and this test is only a fairly recent discovery so it's been much riskier to do straight porn with regular testing but a long window of exposure (2-3 months) than do gay porn with either condoms + older cheaper testing or bareback with new, much more accurate (and expensive) testing.
Re the blind: I agree with everyone who says it seems weird that an actor would use a porn star as a beard... especially someone from the CW where it's all teen shows. The only thing I can guess is that he was scene out and about with a porn star but didn't take her to events etc. to give himself a "playboy" image. Like when you hear about Zac Efron winding up in strip clubs.

ReplyDeleteMr Jack: I'm not familiar with gay side or their practices and procedures, that is why I qualified my comment, with "I believe". I only have only read bits and pieces over the years about the policies. I genuinely thought they mostly used condoms, but didn't test.
ReplyDeleteThe last HIV+ case I can remember was from crossover talent. Dude was working both sides of the industry and changed his story on how he got infected many times. Could have been from rent boying, could have been from having and STD infection in his throat, making him more susceptible to HIV transmission during oral in a scene.
There are some straight porn companies that are condom only. I think Wicked is one, but I forget, as I avoid watching condom porn. If straight porn ever goes to all rubbers, I'll go all Eastern Euro.
@ShitYouCan'tBuy: I don't think James Deen and Stoya are in a relationship, I think she works with him a majority of the time, because she has enough stroke to choose who she works with and she don't want to work with random mopes she doesn't know and trust.
I didn't know early, it was out there the other night when she came forward. The acronym industry sites were waiting on her second round of tests to confirm her status. I have some e-friends in and around the industry, so as soon as someone heard who it was, they sent me a link. I didn't link the first place I saw name, because I don't like the owner of the blog, so I didn't want to give him clicks.
I thought Enty fudged the timeline, past few weeks when she has only known past few days, but on Aug 3 she tweeted: “Wow ok so I just got the most fucked up news ever...” So someone must have told her something then. It was 2 weeks later that she tested at an industry testing center. I could see it taking 2 weeks to gather the courage to get tested with HIV hanging over her head.
Daily and the last guy she worked with tested yesterday, so those results should pop today or tomorrow. July 27 was the last scene she shot.
