Some quiet phone calls have been made over the past few weeks. The female porn star that tested HIV+ has been known to have some flings with men for money as a beard and for other things too. This is porn whore Cameron Adams (Bay), who appeared on VH-1's Tool Academy. It is said her current boyfriend works both sides of the porn industry, called crossover talent. From what I hear, the gay side of the industry is very lax with testing, if they test at all.

It's a sliding scale, and probably a little different for everybody. Most people are found congregating around one end of the scale or the other, but there are plenty clumped in the middle, and plenty who are somewhere in between the ends and the middle.
Some guys are gay but enjoy the occasional woman, very rarely. Some don't give a damn whether the fun bits stick out or go in, and some are generally straight but can go for the occasional man-meat.

@Count Jerkula - I'm gay and watch a lot of gay porn (too much really) I know who Rod Daily is and I have never seen him do a bareback scene.
You say that there isn't much testing in gay porn but at any reputable studio they test ALL the time because of the big HIV scare in the 80s/90s. On top of that, 90% of gay porn uses condoms. The recent major trend of big studios going condomless is due to the rapid detection test (DNR/PCR) which can detect HIV within a 6-20 day window of exposure.
Straight porn never uses condoms as far as I've seen and this test is only a fairly recent discovery so it's been much riskier to do straight porn with regular testing but a long window of exposure (2-3 months) than do gay porn with either condoms + older cheaper testing or bareback with new, much more accurate (and expensive) testing.
Re the blind: I agree with everyone who says it seems weird that an actor would use a porn star as a beard... especially someone from the CW where it's all teen shows. The only thing I can guess is that he was scene out and about with a porn star but didn't take her to events etc. to give himself a "playboy" image. Mr Jack: I'm not familiar with gay side or their practices and procedures, that is why I qualified my comment, with "I believe". I only have only read bits and pieces over the years about the policies. I genuinely thought they mostly used condoms, but didn't test.
The last HIV+ case I can remember was from crossover talent. Dude was working both sides of the industry and changed his story on how he got infected many times. Could have been from rent boying, could have been from having and STD infection in his throat, making him more susceptible to HIV transmission during oral in a scene.
There are some straight porn companies that are condom only. I think Wicked is one, but I forget, as I avoid watching condom porn. If straight porn ever goes to all rubbers, I'll go all Eastern Euro.
