Blind Item #3

This is from Lexi Alexander's Twitter

My favorite story about this is a friend of mine, a well known actress, doing construction on her house. She had to get her then boyfriend(an even more famous actor) to talk to builders because they wouldn’t listen to her. So she wrote him a whole script...it got done. This story is much funnier if you know who they are and then imagine anybody thinking he knows anything about construction.

  2. I think Brad does know quite a bit about it though.... architecture is one of his passions (and probably what drew him to the MIT professor.
    Maybe Amber Heard/Depp

  3. Construction makes me think Tim Allen but probably not haha

  4. Um, Brad Pitt actually knows his shit when it comes to architecture.

  5. It sounds entirely made up, honestly.

  6. Kinda don't get how that is supposed to be a diss towards the boyfriend when the actress is supposed to be the boss/money/homeowner. If the contractors aren't listening to you, fire them.

Besides, it seems like it's Theroux, since he is in a kerfuffle with his NYC neighbors about apartment renovations.

  7. Maybe a joking reference about that Tom Hanks early role in "The Money Pit"?

  8. Pitts' New Orleans houses are falling apart because of shoddy construction/materials. If you add in people who know nothing about maintenance, and home ownership to begin with then it's a recipe for disaster.

  9. Jen and Brad are a great guess inasmuch as Jen has renovated a number of houses and Brad had an interest in architecture. While a trained architect has to learn both design and construction it is quite possible for an amateur to have an interest in design without without knowing much about construction.

  10. Is Demi M. a friend of Enty's? Because, I could see this being Ashton Kutcher.

  11. My husband is in construction. Architects know a lot about where you should put structural things like wall bearing studs but they don’t know which type of grout to use or even one type of drywall versus another (except where there is firewalls involved). Construction on a house doesn’t necessarily need an architect and someone wh9 I “into” architecture doesn’t necessarily know the pros and cons of marble vs. granite in a kitchen. Having deal with construction guys a lot, it is a very male dominated field (though improving) and I can see them not wanting to listen to a woman (though I don’t Agree with it). I think brad and Jen are a good guess.

  14. I went to New Orleans after Katrina and the Fifth Ward a couple years after the decimation and was surprised to find that there were only eight homes built by Brad/Angie and they were all occupied by white families.

  15. Brad is a dummy. He knows the big names to drop in architecture but he doesn't know actually anything about it.

  16. I still like Ashton for this, but another reason Brad - even if he knows some stuff - might make some sense is that he's been so stoned for so long.

  18. Engineers make the worst technicians. Technicians can learn engineering; but, engineers have a tough time learning the technical, maintenance & repair, aspects of a job.

  19. Architects don't know jack about construction....
    It's not universal

  20. Architects dont necessarily know about construction,
Courtney cox and david arquette. David doesnt seem to me like he’d know much or talk the contracting talk. Courtney seems on the ball and knows the language but shes female.
Didnt they flip houses after friends before th divorce?

  21. I knew a widowed nurse who had a house that flooded years ago. Her contractor hired a bunch of Mexicans, that honestly, were rarely seen in this area at that time. She would talk to the lead guy and he flat out refused to listen to her. And it was little crap about how she wanted her tiles and superficial things regarding her patio. Pissed her off. She was being discounted because of patriarchy, really. She called her contractor and that guy and his poor crew lost that job.

Shhhh...sure you did, sweetie, sure you did.

    @Krab

Brad isn't dumb. He's weak and...oh what's the word...vacant? But I don't think he's dumb at all. He's been too smart, in a business sense, to be dumb. Also, he's a big reader.
