IF it did happen, I would guess this would have happened at the end of the marriage when she wasn't going to be the happy housewife and wanted him out of her life.

They were only married for seven months, and she was busy during that entire time being one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. And, like plot said, goes completely against both of their characters.
