ReplyDeleteI heard that Tom Selleck rumor back in the 80's from someone who worked at Morton's in LA. Ditto John Travolta, Dolly Parton and Whitney Houston. I was shocked back then. Now....meh.

ReplyDeleteYeah, heard about Tom being gay in the 80's .his ad for Marlborough cigarettes before he made it big was stupendous. It was my poster on my binder. LOL. And then he married his wife which quieted the rumors.
ReplyDeleteTom Selleck played a gay newsman in a movie with Kevin Kline called "In and Out." Kline is a teacher, engaged for three years to Joan Cusack, who is "outed" during an awards show by a former student, now a successful actor, who thought the teacher was gay. Ultimately, the teacher realises he is gay and seemingly begins a relationship with the Tom Selleck character. This whole thing is based on a true story, when Tom Hanks accidently outed his former drama teacher while accepting an award. Selleck has been married to his current wife, Jilly, a former dancer, for decades and they have an adult daughter. Never heard/read about him being gay, so maybe this movie role is why people are thinking Selleck is gay?
