Back in the day, Hollywood celebrities didn't want to go overseas to get their adopted children, they wanted American babies. They also didn't want to wait in line or complete any paperwork. If at all possible they also wanted a third party or even a fourth party in the middle of the whole process. Adoption agencies tended to talk and studios would have to pay off money to keep the adoption agencies quiet about the biological parents of babies that actors and actresses were adopting. What to do. Well, one studio decided to partner with an "adoption agency" in the south. Only thing was that it was not a normal adoption agency. Sure, the babies that came from them were properly documented as being adopted, but it was everything else that was not quite above board. The babies were bought. The agency paid the pregnant woman and then sold the baby to some Hollywood actor/actress for a profit. A significant profit. Sometimes they would buy a baby for $500 and sell the baby for as much as $10,000.
Anyway, there was this actor who was probably B list back in Old Hollywood. He also wrote a bunch of songs. A bunch as in several hundred so he was a singer/songwriter too. He specialized in Westerns and even had a lot of other talents that made him money. Debra Messing gave some interview to a magazine called Haute Living New York which seems right up her alley. Sounds pretentious and inaccessible. "Young and The Restless" star Greg Rikaart will bow out of the CBS soap after 14 years. Rikaart shared news of his departure in a post on Instagram.
"Fourteen years ago, I booked a two-week long gig on 'The Young and the Restless,'" the actor shared. "In my wildest dreams, I could never have imagined what it would turn into: a career-defining experience that has brought me so much happiness and fulfillment."
Rikaart, who played villain-turned-good guy Kevin Fisher said he does not know what's in store for his character.
"Playing Kevin and watching him evolve over the years has mirrored my real life in so many ways," he wrote. "We both found love, both became dads and we both have more gray hair now than we did in 2003...it's hard to know where he ends and Greg begins."
The 40-year-old thanked his fans and his crew and cast mates on the long-running soap opera.

How often do people who work together leave their respective spouses and then end up getting engaged to each other? I'm guessing most of the time it is just a bunch of sex and one person gets caught and the other decides to stay with their spouse. So, one person ends up living in a studio apartment with no way to get to the job and the other still lives with their spouse and works at the same job and their life doesn't change much. I was the first to report that Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brezezinski were hooking up while they were married and now the couple who I will never bother to type out again are getting married.
Scarborough, 54, proposed during a trip to the south of France last weekend to celebrate Brzezinski's 50th birthday.
A source told the news site turning 50 made Brzezinski realize she "wanted to move forward with her life and spend every minute with Joe, and not just at work."
As for Scarborough, the source said he has had "a rough few years" after his divorce and his father's death and being with his co-host has made him "the happiest he's ever been."

Alanis Morissette's Ex-Manager Gets Six Years In Jail
Alanis Morissette's ex-business manager, who stole more than $7 million from the singer and others was sentenced Wednesday to six years in federal prison.
Morissette made a pitch for a lengthy and severe sentence saying he stole her dreams.
The singer said she had placed the fortune she earned through her fame in the trust of Jonathan Todd Schwartz and he had secretly siphoned her accounts while constantly misleading her about her net worth.
"He did this in a long, systematic, drawn-out and sinister manner," Morissette said, adding it would have bankrupted her within three years had the thefts continued.
Schwartz, 47, who blamed his gambling addiction for the thefts, wept and apologized at the hearing, saying he took full responsibility for his behavior and would have a life of shame because of it.
"I alone am responsible for the devastation," he said, in seeking less than a year in prison. "I will spend the rest of my life asking for forgiveness."
Prosecutors were seeking just over five years in prison for Schwartz, but Judge Dolly Gee said she thought Schwartz deserved more time for the "sheer audaciousness of this conduct."
Gee noted that she has often criticized federal sentencing guidelines as draconian, but noted that they weren't harsh enough in this case. Gee said Schwartz's gambling addiction may explain the wire fraud and tax crimes, but didn't excuse them. She also ordered him to pay $8.6 million in restitution.
Schwartz acknowledged stealing nearly $5 million from Morissette between May 2010 and January 2014 and more than $2 million from five unnamed clients when he worked at GSO Business Management, a firm that touted relationships with entertainers such as Katy Perry, 50 Cent and Tom Petty.

American-Canadian Couple Found Strangled And Duct-Taped in Belize
Canadian Francesca Matus, 52, and American Drew Thomas De Voursey, 36, who were reported missing last week, were strangled to death, according to a post-mortem conducted on the bodies this morning.
Police reported that the two bodies were found in a cane field in Chan Chen village, Corozal. The clothes on the bodies matched the description of the clothes the couple wore when they were last seen by friends.
Police also reported that Matus’ body was found underneath De Voursey’s and that their wrists were taped up.
The bodies were found in an advanced state of decomposition so the post-mortem was conducted on-site. The police department says it is collaborating with the US Embassy and the Canadian Consulate as the investigation continues.
The couple was first reported missing last Wednesday by American national, Joseph Milholen. He went to Matus’ house in Serenity Sands Consejo Road, Corozal because he was supposed to drive her to the airport that day. When he reached, however, he saw no sign of the couple and could not reach them on their cell phones. He noticed that Matus’ white Isuzu Rodeo was not in the driveway.
The Rodeo was recovered by police on Sunday in Paraiso village, Corozal.
Pennsylvania Pastor Sentenced For Getting Teen Parishioner Pregnant
A former pastor who acted as a surrogate father to a teenager he impregnated was sentenced to three to six years in prison, a month after a judge rejected a previous plea deal as too lenient.
Jacob Matthew Malone, who turned 35 on Friday, pleaded guilty to institutional sexual assault, corruption of minors, and endangering the welfare of children. The former pastor also will serve five months' probation and will be registered as a sex offender for 15 years.
The woman, now 20, told police Malone gave her alcohol as an 18-year-old and raped her on several occasions while she lived with him, his wife, and their children in Malone's home. Malone, who was her guardian, admitted he gave her alcohol but said the sexual encounters were consensual.
Sexual contact, which included kissing and touching, occurred almost daily during her senior year in high school.
"This is one of the times when the court system fails," said Judge Jacqueline Cody, adding that the woman was technically of the age of consent but that Malone had been acting as her father when he promoted the sexual contact. "You are serving a sentence much lighter than the crime deserves."
The sentence is at the top of standard guidelines. Malone will get credit for the more than one year he has served since his arrest in January 2016.
Under the agreement, prosecutors withdrew the most serious charge of rape. Prosecutors said there was a question as to whether they could prove the absence of consent.
The plea was Malone's second attempt at securing a deal for himself. Last month, the judge rejected as too lenient an agreement with prosecutors that would have given him a minimum of two years in prison. The woman also was dissatisfied with that agreement, saying "Jake" had taken advantage of her "mentally, physically, spiritually."
The woman agreed with the new deal prosecutors and Malone's lawyer presented, and the judge accepted it.
The young woman "is pleased he will be spending an additional year in jail," District Attorney Emily Provencher said.

I wouldn’t really call this a kindness but I like to point out people who go above and beyond and are loved by everyone they encounter. Such is the story of this B/B- list mostly television actress who concurrently had recurring/main roles on two of the biggest network hits (different networks/no superheroes) of the past decade. In each of them, she was only supposed to be a guest, but she was no nice and so genuine to everyone that the writers changed storylines just to get her more episodes to the point where she was practically main cast in both shows at one point. Just an incredibly wonderful person.
