You're not alone. I commented last week about just not getting Johnny D, why a wealthy guy would walk around looking like a homeless person. Then the claws came out, so I retreated. Again, you're not alone. Even DNfromMN agrees with us.

Re the boots, Johnny is just ... Johnny. He's a character, not a showboat. Know he's not for everyone but personally I think it's rather refreshing that he stays true to himself, quirky, out there, his own point of view and not yet another cookie cutter styled star.
