Norway Mass Murderer Complains About Prison Conditions

Anders Breivik killed 77 people in Norway in a series of car bombings and shootings. For killing all those people he was sentenced to 21 years in jail. Yep, that is it. Now, the AP has obtained a copy of a letter Anders sent to prison officials where he complained that he is frustrated that guards do not cooperate with his carefully planned daily schedule and that they serve him cold coffee. He says that he is denied a reading lamp, has restricted access to candy and is given daily strip searches. Oh wow. That must suck for him. I'm sorry that prison life sucks. What about the 77 people you killed? How do you think their families make it through each day? Can you imagine killing 77 people in America and only getting 21 years in jail? Do they think this guy is going to be rehabilitated by then?

Restricted access to candy??? Surely that's illegal!

Fuck you, Breivik.

They should feed him cock sandwiches

He didn't only get 21 years. He received the maximum prison sentence (which is 21 yrs) and in 21 yrs they will decide on a release. It's already clear he will probably never come out.

Also, this is old news. He's been complaining ever since he got in there...

What happens if they decide to not release him? Can they just keep him indefinitely?

Is two a series? Because it was one car bomb, and one shooting.

This asshole never showed any remorse, still seemed to think that he had done the world a favour at his trial. Sure hope he never comes out.

Fuck this guy.

Norway has THE NICEST prison system in the world. The reasoning is that if you treat prisoners like sub-human monsters, that is what you'll have when their sentence is up and they are released into society. This guy should do some prison exchange time in say the US, South America or Africa for some perspective. Or just put a bullet in his head. Well, after one in each knee, elbow, foot, hand and gonads. Reloading before the final shot should only take an hour or so. Safety First!

That is why I don't believe in long term sentences because no-one wins except for the criminal.

Oh no!!! I would DIE if my candy intake/inhalation was restricted- poor guy!!!

Enty should stop mischaracterizing his sentence. He will never get out of prison because of certain peculiarities of Norwegian law. Enty, please get informed. He will only be released after 21 years if he is no longer deemed a threat to society, and there is no way that will happen. This is a man who said in open court that he would gladly kill again if released. He will not be released in 21 years.

Does anyone else see Peter Facinelli when they look at this guy? They have similar facial features and they both have that same empty blackness behind their eyes.

Jesus, it's like he is staring into my soul with those creepy, dead eyes.

What Kathleen and Noetje said. This guy is not getting out of prison, ever. I don't think he can ever convince a judge that he regrets his actions after the things he said during the trial.

Most Scandinavian countries have a penal system which is based upon rehabilitation rather than punishment. Say what you will about that, but it's clearly working since Norway has one of the lowest crime rates in the world, and also a very low number of reoffending criminals. You may think it's too lenient, and I may be inclined to agree with you when it comes to a man like Breivik, but looking at the end result, which is a very peaceful country, I'd say they probably know what they're doing.

mass murderers should be sent to death, IMO. When there is zero chance of rehabilitation or release then it just becomes a burden financially.

Why extend rights to him that he took away from 77 people?

Surely we can all take up,a collection and pay some guy there to toss Breviks salad can't we?

FUCK this guy.

But I love the stories of how miserable this famewhoring sociopath is in prision.

I hope the Norwegian prisioners are not as lenient as the with their penises as the Norwegian penal system.

Hahaha-too much wine last night, and I'm awake too early in the a.m...with TONS of candy at my bedside. Hahahaha!

To add some perspective to the crime, most of the shooting victims where teenagers trapped on an island at a type of summer camp for high achieving youth interested in politics. Many we're killed when they tried to flee the island by flinging themselves into the water or hiding with limited shelter. Since he was dressed as a police officer many of the victims were afraid to come out when help finally arrived on the island and he also shot and killed several of the first responders called to the scene, including one police officer who happened to be the Crown Princess of Norway's stepbrother.

With all of that, and ample evidience that this guy is off his rocker crazy (he claims that Muslims and other minorities are destroying Norwegian society and that he is part of a secret organization of Knights Templar) he got free legal representation, every attempt was many to divert him to a mental institution instead of prison which he refused, and he will NEVER leave prison without a miraculous change in his mental condition and he will get better care in prison than any prisoner could hope for in the US.

Norway is a very rich, literate country with a great standard of living. It is also very beautiful. Not to mention unbearably cold in the winter time.

I think Saroe got it. However, since foreign prisoner exchange is unlikely, they should get a big bowl of Brevik's favorite candy and place it just barely out of his reach. Every.Single.Day. The time he has left on this planet can be spent being tortured (albeit subtly) like that daily & those things will make him indignant & nutty(ier).

Death, frankly, would be too good for this troll because he thrives on the attention he receives.

FYI about American prison system: Putting a person on death row and eventually executing him or her, is usually MORE expensive than giving them a life sentence or a very long one. All the appeals, more expensive trials, expert witnesses, etc. A bunch of states (both with Dem and Rep governors) want to repeal it due to costs.

Back to Breivik... I hope one day he comes to see what he did as horrible, that he murdered innocent young people for no good reason. I want that to sink in... whether he's crazy or just a cunt (that's my vote!), I hope one day he gets it, so he can feel the misery so many feel after losing their loved ones.

With respect to everyone here, it's up to Norwegians how this guy is sentenced and treated. So saying that he should be sent to America where he'll receive "proper" justice is a little bit insulting to another country.

Just my opinion.

Tuxedo Cat said...

That looks awfully like a White Power salute that he's doing...

I know that the laws of each country have idiosyncrasies, but to even mention the possibility of 21 years is messed up...What an insult to the families of the deceased.
