such thing as rabbit fever. If you had asked me prior today what rabbit fever is I would have guessed it was some old Bugs Bunny cartoon featuring Elmer Fudd or what Hugh Hefner gets every afternoon before he goes to bed for the night. It turns out I was wrong. A North Carolina hunter has tested positive for the deadly disease which luckily cannot be transferred via person to person, but only rabbit to person. Oh, and your pets can get it too. It kind of sounds like bubonic plague, but with rabbits instead of rodents and you are probably not going to die if you get it. Probably.
