US Weekly, they offered a spot on the show to Paula Deen. You are probably thinking to yourself, well they wanted the ratings. True. I mean ratings were down thirty percent, but much of that has been attributed to Maksim leaving. He was a big star of the show and they could probably get those numbers back up if they overpaid for Julianne Hough and brought her back for a season. The thing about having Paula on the show would be there would be a huge controversy and unless she was spectacular enough to get high scores, she would be gone in the first elimination because the audience is not going to call in and support her. So, essentially you are taking all of this bad publicity for a week or two of ratings. All that bad will and then hoping people stick around after she is gone.
