#4 & #5 - At the opposite extreme from the above parents is this B list movie and television actor who has been around forever. While raising his C list actor son, he had only one rule. Don't get arrested. Other than that he didn't care if or when his child came home or what he did as long as he didn't get caught.

My parents sucked! They told me "don't get pregnant OR arrested."
And today, Scott Caan is an entitled little prick.
My nana used to say, "be good. And if you can't be good..." She'd then whisper "be careful."
I think this means James was a crappy father that didn't care what Scott did as long as he didn't embarrass his father.

i know for a fact that his youngest son is also a like really emotionally attached -- a girl blew him and he thought that made them boyfriend-girlfriend (he's james caan's son after all!) and she denied. she's kind of blown a LOT of these young stars' kids lol
