Blind Items Revealed- Kindness

August 14, 2013

This actor is foreign born. B- list. Mostly movies, but has a name everyone can remember even if they can't pronounce it. Good looking guy. Academy Award winner/nominee. Recently he went to a meeting and the person he was meeting was running late. No text, no nothing. Our actor was just about to give up when the man walked in and apologized but said he had been on the phone with some people because he was trying to help a family that had lost their house to a fire. The house was small and the family had no savings and the Red Cross refused to help them because it was just one little house fire. They had no place to stay and the man had been trying to find them some place to live. He did not have enough room for them, and was trying to find a hotel that would take the family of six and their two dogs. It was tough. Our actor said for him to handle it and within an hour had not only found a guest house of a producer in Beverly Hills that was available, but also called in favors from some clothing people he knew and had the entire family outfitted in clothes and had someone take them shopping for things they needed to live.

Haha and now I do know the D in Djimon is silent.

@uncle sandy, he was the lead actor in the movie Amistad, did you see it? Really good movie.
His only downside is that he was married to Kimora Lee Simmons, eeck.

Djimon is awesome, and was robbed of the supporting actor nomination/win in Gladiator, IMO. He has always been one of my fave actors, and now have people!

I love kindness blinds. They remind me that not everyone in Hollywood is a self important douche.

American Red Cross is totally douchy. It's cool that people like this guy compensate this, but I can imagine the general outrage happening here if our Red Cross did the same.

Love this. He did it without cameras and a big flashy announcement for publicity. That is true charity and kindness.

Kermit, Red Cross is douchey. I was a Pathology Technician for 10 years. Worked at a Blood Bank, they became affiliated with the Red Cross. Any monetary donations made over a certain amount to the Blood Bank, a percentage had to go to the Red Cross, but the donors weren't told! I brought this up at a weekend seminar thingy & had my arse handed to me for daring to say I thought it was wrong. Will NEVER support the Red Cross after that.

Red Cross also turned down $1 mil from the Dixie Chicks because they were "too controversial" (after they tepidly made fun of Bush & said going to war would be a mistake).

What on earth did he ever see in Kimora? They always seemed like a bizarre match to me.

Awesome. Not only did he not act all pissy and entitled when the other dude was late, but he also gave generously to people in need. And he's hot. Excuse me guys, I need a moment. Thanks.

I know how to pronounce his name properly, but I say it in my head as Digimon (digital monsters, Digimon are the champions!) No disrespect, I just like the word Digimon.
