Great show, great lady. She was only 66. Must have been all of that stripey bacon they were always using.
They never ate the food they cooked, but would go to a new location each time and cook for a different group of people.
I have the complete DVD set. That show is still more watchable than anything currently running on the Food Network.
I watched this very regularly in London. She was so incredibly sad when her cooking partner died. I'll always think of them zooming off on a motorbike & a sidecar. They were a very cool couple of ladies. I hope they're together now & cooking with loads of fat , bacon fat obviously .
She was fab - had a very messed up childhood and was an alcoholic for a long time if i remember rightly. I was amazed she was only 66, thought she was older.
I absolutly loved that show and those two ladies were hilarious.
Oh, and the Hairy Bikers are like the male versions of 2 Fat Ladies if you get a chance to watch their programmes sometime.
Love this show! It IS more watchable than so much on the Food Network/Cooking Channel, Flora. I am currently loving Debi Mazaar's show Extra Virgin. The food looks fabulous, the setting is gorgeous and I love to see what she's wearing. Plus, her husband is kinda hot despite being a too thin for my blood. I love when they bust into Italian. Does Two Fat Ladies even air on any networks anymore? It's probably on at like 3 a.m.
Geez, I thought she was in her 70's while the show was on….
But I loved both of the ladies…they were hot stuff.
Rest ln peace~
That show was hilarious - I only watched it a few times but it was really something different. I watched it for the humour, not the cooking. Sixty-six is young these days.
I loved that show! May she rest in peace.
They were so funny. RIP lovely lady.
twas a great show because of the both of them.
hard to believe how young clarissa was when the show aired.
i loved these two old ladies!
i loved these two old ladies!
RIP! You two were always fun to watch. Would have loved to have met you both.
I love British telly but I never watched this one. I'd better hop to it, huh?! Sounds like I've been missing a treasure. RIP, and RIP to the other Lady, too.
@AKM it was a fantastic show! It was an old school fun cooking show, where nothing was 'styled and pretty'
RIP Clarissa.
It was a great show to watch. They both lived such colourful lives and had such passion for the food.
OH NNOOOO! Child they're the reason why I watched the FoodNetwork
This is one of the reasons I read this site. Yes, I watched that show. Loved it and the ladies. Everything was bacon and bacon fat. They were hilarious, riding all over the countryside in a motorcycle with side car, helmets and goggles. I couldn't get it where I live now, but where I lived before, it was on Saturday mornings, and that is how I unwound from the week; stay in my pajamas and chill and watch cooking shows all morning. RIP Agreed - much better show. Anyone seen the Jamie Oliver show on You Tube? LOVE that show.
Cooking shows that are all the same? Alton Brown and Good Eats would like a word with you.
