I agree about the marriage thing. You would not beleive the number of wives and moms I come across on child rearing blogs that are either in open marriages or are swingers. I think I would stay single if I was not the monogomous type.

Sylvia -- I figured his managers offered her $50M or something, and her parents talked her into taking it, the way Princess Di was talked into going ahead with her wedding by her sisters (one of their husbands worked for QEII) a couple of dates before her wedding, when she'd found out about Camilla.

syl -- well, $50M is a lot of money, and she *has* been sleeping with him for 10 years already. They may have convinced her that it was simply a pre-negotiated divorce settlement. My big concern is that I really think she's heavily medicated -- there's just *something* about the way she moves and reacts to what's going on around her.
@Bigmama - I do remember when Sinead was beautiful. During her Nothing Compares 2 U years. She had the face of a model. She was the original Amber rose.
Rosie really is starting to look like my sister--whom she played in a movie. Get rid of that navy blue for some yellow and orange, preferably with a licensed Disney or Warner character, and she's there, again.

Charlene looks drugged out of her mind. She should have left when she had the chance, money or not.
I don't feel sorry for Charlene in the least. She's been with this guy for 10 so she knows what she is getting into. But I am curious about a couple of things. Why did she try and run (if that is what she did) before the wedding? And second, why did he wait so long to get married? He is a prince, and this is what princes are supposed to do, but he waits till he almost a senior citizen? I orginally thought he was gay and that was why he balked at marriage, but now it turns out he is just a horn dog, so what was stopping him from getting married years ago?
ETA, Katie is looking much happier lately and only when Tom isn't around. I honestly don't know if they had a contract or what, but she certainly didn't seem to find the true love of her life in Mr Cruise.
I hope the drugging thing some of you are theorizing on isn't true :-/

Happy to see Rachel and Daniel together and looking happy! Very nice. Just watched Rachel's AGORA last night on Netflix Instant and it was awesome! Highly recommend.
I also think she's medicated! Her reactions are not "sharp". This scares the crap out of me. My divorce is final today (hola!) after nearly 2 years of trying to get free. How in the world will she ever escape? As soon as they took her passport I thought she was a goner.

Charlene did try to leave Albert. The French police confiscated her passport and spoke to her in private, 3 times. I imagine there were a lot of threats and promises in those conversations.
Also, the public pressure on Charlene must have been enormous. Whatever. If she can finagle a separate hotel room on her honeymoon, I imagine she can live a very separate life from him for quite a while, until she is able to divorce him.
I know Sinead O'Connor is bipolar and I seem to remember reading that she had some other health issues.
Sinead just needs a good hair cut and a shirt that fits. She went down in a blaze of glory and I suppose she never recovered.
If prince Albert in a can isnt abusive, I will be glad to marry him and pretend to be happy at social functions. Hell after a couple of years of marriage half of us are doing that anyway.

Cecelia00 -- maybe she agreed to take anti-depressants (WOW can they pack a wallop) because she bought into the notion that her unhappiness was all her fault. And she was going to "taper off" the prescription after the wedding jitters were over. Not factoring in the fact that the reason for her jitters (Albert) is now permanently glommed onto her.
I'm wondering if she has some sort of learning disability; word is she's had a terrible time learning French (odd since she's lived in a francophone country for 10 years now.) She's probably poorly educated, having spent most of her childhood training for the Olympics -- basically she's spent her life so far being coached.
Ed Norton was my crush too. Yes, even though he was with Courtney. He conducted himself well with her. I understand he's a real sweetie. He was good to everyone he came in contact with in Austin from what I heard. Good luck to him!
