Blind Item #2
This might be the first time this B+ list brilliant movie and television actor has been in the blinds. For years he has been faithful to his wife when she was the only one who would stick by his side when things were rough. Now when things are better he has found a very early 20's red head who he met when he visited an acting class. They have been inseparable while his wife waits up for him. With their kid(s).

RDJ :-(
typical
RDJ is A++.
True !!! I'm always unsure with the whole rating thing here on CDAN.
I don't think it's RDJ, he's mostly movie and wouldn't be described as movie and television. (Breathes huge sigh of relief.)
Sadly
....steve carell
Philip Seymour Hoffman
Wow, I hope this isn't Gary Oldman!
Please don't let this be Michael J. Fox!
Jeffrey Tambour?
Agreed RDJ A+. Not sure who else it can really be though since it really fits his drug problems comeback & is truly brilliant! Unless the rough time is more of a long period of unemployment where you thought they were long gone and forgotten?
Tim Olyphant or Chris Meloni?
Bryan Cranston's only daughter is almost 21. I doubt her mom's waiting up with her for him to get home.
@ Topper
Have PSH's problems been going on that long ? I thought it was only recently.
RDJ started dating/married Susan after his stints in rehab, and he's A at least if not A++. Plus he's been in blinds before. My money's on Steve Carrell.
Carrell would never. Besides things did not just start getting better for him. He's been doing very well forever.
sassy rocks!
I don't think it's Carell, as things have been better for him for six or seven years, he never hit rock bottom (he had The Daily Show, for instance) and he actually quit The Office to spend more time with his kids.
The guy looks like someone who had a breakout part two or three years ago at most after a long dry spell. Somebody who had a Jon Hamm moment and became famous overnight.
Jason Bateman
I don't see where the Ginger sidepocket is necessarily female. Oh, like in some freak galaxy some BDSM amazon freak like Charlize Theron doesn't want to crush a ginger every once in a while. Just talkin...
the mentalist's aussie actor
Who really qualifies as brilliant these days in both movies and TV? Shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
Wait, I got it: Paul Rudd.
Damian Lewis
William H. Macy
I think brilliant would denote a serious rather than a comedic actor therefore Carrell is out as he's mostly comedy.
I got nothing to contribute other than that.
Not Gary Oldman. 1. He hasn't done TV since he was based in England. Okay he did a spot on Friends once but I'd never consider him as TV.
2. He's been married 4 times and the latest is about half his age and he just married her a few years ago.
Jon Cryer
Damien Lewis' wife Helen McCrory is fierce. At least the roles she gets cast in are all super-bitch roles. She's like the new Judy Davis. I wouldn't cross her for a million dollars.
Kevin Bacon.
Someone with a long rough patch. Ruling out Rob Lowe, though he did come to mind (had a period with very little work or canceled projects). Carell doesn't fit the timeline - did well over 10 years of weekly television, did films during, and then leapt to films and has done pretty okay. At least fifteen years of paying the bills with prominently-featured roles. When was the rough patch?
Just relieved Cumberbatch isn't married so this can't be him.
We're all still trying to figure them out. Lol
Nucky Thompson or Tony Blundetto. I hope it is neither.
Oh no. Bateman, for sure. Ugh. I love(?) him.
Steve buscemi
Please please please don't be William H. Macy.
The guy married to Lisa Bonet
How sad.
Buscemi's only kid is almost 24. Lowe is really close to his 21 and 23 yr old sons. Carell's kids are 10 and 13. Fox's 24, 19, and 17. Bateman's 6 and nearly 2. Rudd's are 7 & 4. So, Bateman, Rudd, or Carell.
I'm going to say Carell because after Curly Sue he had a long gap of not much.
