Speaking of S&M, anyone watch that pile of doo doo Extreme Parenting w/ S&M porn whore Madison Young and her dude? I was unfortunate enough to see a couple minutes last night where she was talking about reading some erotica at an art show their 2y/o daughter was going to be at. Dude put the kibosh on it and she got pissed. All I could think is, "Yeah, honey, there is a reason you are a whore."
Just a small point of pedantry, but if this is Rooney Mara, her FIRST name is more recognizable than her last.

Controversial, I know, but I thought Rooney was a better Lisbeth than Noomi. I didn't like the rest of the casting, though.
Count - I would say that poor kid has no chance with a mom like that. I wish more girls at my high school had had porn star moms:)
Mara.. Johnson is just not a recognizable name but everyone knows Mara. And gwtdt wasn't profitable
But I do t think either Mara has had documented, at least, issues with substance abuse...as Dakota has.

@Yoj, I agree. Maybe it's the subtitles vs English thing. The best line in both movies is "Can I kill him?" near the end. lol That being said, I do like Noomi Rapace (she apparently was offered the role in the Remake but turned it down) and am glad to see she is becoming successful in Hwood productions.

I like Noomi, too. I just prefer Rooney's subtlety.
I think she was let down by the casting of Daniel Craig. They didn't have any chemistry. Blomkvist is a boring character, the typical author-living-vicariouly-through-his-creation leading man. His relationship with Lisbeth is what makes you invest in the story. I'd have loved to see her opposite Mads Mikkelsen (have you seen The Hunt?).
She's 20 something her parents are,well you know, and this is Fashion week. Let her play.

Btw Yoj I assume you watch Hannibal. Well good news! Gillian Anderson will be back and the first episode of the 3rd season will be a flashback to their characters history. I simply cannot wait.
