The Photo That Deserves Its Own Post

As much as it appears that Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli hate each other, I am actually amazed they even managed to hang out together. In this kind of hatred you really only see McDonald's swaps of the children. At this level you don't even see house visits because of the animosity. I wonder if they realize the kids can pick up on all of it and their attempts to put on a united front as being good for the kids, is probably making things worse. Do you think the children like to see mommy and daddy miserable?

That looks like a 60-year-old version of Jennie Garth. Are we sure that's her?

@Beth I agree, those are not the arms of Jennie Garth. Granted, this picture is pretty small on my phone, but I don't think it is her.

Are we sure this isn't Kate GROSSelin?

I don't give a sh*t about their personal lives. I just think Peter Facinelli on Nurse Jackie is one of the best performances I've seen on recent TV.

He's so good; hilarious.

I thought it was Kate G too. If it's Jennie it's a really bad picture.

The arms made me look twice!! It looks like her face but maybe it's her mother?

Did an image search and this pic comes up (posted on other sites).

How awful. Can't imagine a divorce with three kids involved, let alone a public one.

awkward.

That does not look like Jennie Garth. Those are the arms of a 60 yr old woman. I actually also thought it was Kate Gosslin.

Let's start a rumor. Peter left Jennie for Kate.

Am I wrong or this just a one second snap shot of their day? How do we know they had a miserable time?

Eh, that's probably the look I have on my face when I'm shopping at the disney store too.

I don't know, I still think trying to show your kids that you are bigger people than your issues and that they are important enough to put effort into getting along with their father/mother is worth it. If they fight the whole time, then no...this interaction just seems uncomfortable, though they are both present willingly so thats a good sign. It's admirable, that's for sure.

I don't know about the rest of you gals out there around Jennie's age (like me), but I was thrilled to see those middle-aged arms - she looks like a real person!

I'm glad I wasn't the only one wondering if that was even her.

No, I don't think her kids are big fans of the tension. While I can appreciate the effort for the kids (I assume that is why they were together here) but sometimes that makes things worse, especially if these two do loathe each other.

I dunno, I'm glad my parents NEVER hung out after they divorced when I was 10. Even being so young & my parents never speaking a word of the 'whys', I knew they didn't want to be near each other.

It's not her arms, it's that heinous shirt. Burn that Jennie....

Wow - painful to look at, let alone witness.

yikes, blouson style + those sleeves = NOBODY'S friend.

She is also clenching her hands in an awkward way making her arms seem bigger.

DON'T follow that link to tDM. If you do, you'll accidentally see Octomom topless. Whyyyyyyyy?

That doesn't look like either one of them. Is that supposed to be Peter next to her?

EmEyeKay: Octo-WHOA!!!! I shouldn't have looked, but I couldn't help it...

Lolololol @Em & @Robert. Totally had to see it when Enty posted a link on Twitter. Yikes.

Yikes is right! SO didn't need to see that this early in the morning. I have no aversion to pregnancy and/or stretch marks, but my stomach did a little flip.

@Robert, sorry :(

My word, she looks so...matronly. It almost looks like she has her son standing next to her.

She sucks. You know why? Because she's already signed her and her kids up for a fucking reality show to document her divorce called "Going Country" or some ridiculous shit like that. Anyone who would exploit their kids for money during a divorce sucks. And she sucks. I really thought she had way more class than that. But I guess money talks. The show is going to be on CMT of all places.

As I am the Queen of Bad Pictures I feel for her.And at least I can delete or hide most of my bad pics but hers is plastered right out there for everyone to see. The blouse and the pants are really unflattering on her.

But honestly can't you imagine her dreading the day out and just throwing on whatever, not thinking about it too much because she had vastly more important things on her mind? I wish her the best in getting through her divorce.

Pattie said...

In the the photos on the other site, her arms don't look that bad at all. The one Enty used is a bad angle. And the shirt does need to be burned.

^^the reality show was going to be a family thing. you know, before peter hooked up with taylor on the vampire movie.

i saw this pic somewhere else and thought it was ackward looking. only the 2 little ones where there. the youngest is 5, so i doubt she would pick up on anything. the other one is 9, and likely wante a new toy enough to ignore the mom/dad crap for 20 minutes.

Peter is actually the executive producer of the reality show. He was also supposed to be in it. This reality show has nothing to do with their divorce and it's not something she signed up for post-knowing she was going to divorce.

Eh, I think yeah, of course you want to have your kids think you're getting through something positively.
BUT hell, people are human, no matter what. And as I believe it's been pretty much deduced that Peter cheated on Jennie, well, I'm assuming there is a lot of negative feelings right now, and as long as they arent bad mouthing each other to the kids (always a big no no), then let them feel what they are experiencing.

I guess I've just never been a fan of putting on some kind of false June and Ward Cleaver image for the sake of the precious children. Showing real dimensions of love and pain and all that is a part of life- let's get over shielding kids like they are made outta tissue paper or something, sheesh!
