This B-list mostly TV actress is one step away from leaving her controversial sect because she's got a TV sitcom gig that will earn her lots of cash. She accepted this job because she dried up her bank account donating money to the sect. Her current TV gig on a reality show isn't enough, and she accepted the gig on a rival TV network after a pilot for the network that broadcasts the reality show fizzled out. To further complicate matters, she has cut off ties with her longtime best friend, a C-list actress married to an A-list actor whom the TV actress has allegedly been involved with romantically, because she's been calling her house too many times to complain about her husband's extra-marital affairs.

No. Kirstie alley has been rumored to have had an affair w Travolta, but that's a rumor that is likely untrue. Plus Kirstie is apparently tired of fielding calls from Kelly about Travolta's masseuse "affairs"

I like Kirstie too. Kelly Preston needs to just realize she is with a homo and move on or accept it. The duck walks like a duck, quacks like one and also gives hand jobs like one.

If it is Kirstie Alley I'd just be happy that she got wise to the bloodsucking leeches at Co$. It can't be a comfortable realisation that you're coming to the end of your career and have nothing tangible to show for it, but Co$ has some nice real estate that you won't ever see a penny back on. We'll know for sure if there's a smear campaign launched against her. Maybe Tammy Girl and JT will shake off the shackles too and come out as a couple... now THAT could be a sitcom - Tammy Girl and JT living together with Kirstie as their housekeeper.
Completely unrelated - I saw The Master last night. Wow. Definite Oscar nominations coming for Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix in my opinion.
You read the nonsense about scientology and you're kind of like "that's stupid, how can anyone believe something so retarded?" but when you actually see someone as charismatic as Hoffman preaching it to someone as unstable as Phoenix, it really makes you think.

I'd watch a Kirstie sitcom. I stuck with Veronica's Closet till the bitter end. And she was great in Fat Actress. I think Kirstie probably feels loyalty to CO$ because she credits them with getting her off coke all those years ago.
I don't care who it is, as long as they leave CO$ and it is public. I will watch any sitcom they are on. No matter how shitty it is. Anything to hurt that cult, is a "win" for me.

actually the rumors are as stated in the blind. Kirstie Alley and Kelly Preston. Of course the sect is Scientology but i'd be really shocked if she left it, she is so indoctrinated. But you know what they say - money is the be all and end all.

Just to throw a shot in the dark for a little variety, since it seems like Kirstie is the only (and probably correct) guess so far - how about Leah Remini or Jenna Elfman? They're both CO$ female TV celebs, even if nothing else fits, just figured I'd throw them out...
Someone who's a scientologist. That's all I got out of this. I don't watch reality TV, so I don't know who's doing what in that world, for the most part.
I'm with timebob, if Kirstie leaves the "Church" and makes it public, then I will watch her show for as long as it's on the air, even if it sucks.

A little background for the younger readers: Kirstie was Travolta's public beard/girlfriend before he married Kelly. It used to be referenced in every article about her that they were amazingly still good friends despite their break-up. Also, Kirstie has her own diet/supplement business, which is tied to CO$. Not sure how much she makes from it, but she'd better have steady income before she quits.

Alley has admitted to hooking before she was famous, and that's what the Co$ had on her, as well as the drug addiction. I think she admitted it to disprove that the cult had any sway over her, though.
Still, it must be tiresome when your "church" takes ALL your money. I don't blame anyone for wanting to throw off that yoke.
