Amber, what cracks me up about the whole "no one thinks I'm sexy" schtick is that Anne has never tried to be sexy! And that's totally OK - more than ok, really - I respect that about her. But I respect that a lot less now that she's pulling this boo-hoo stuff. Look at the pic of her in the airport yesterday - that is not the outfit of a woman who wants to be viewed as sexy.
I do think this is about Anne Hathaway, but I still have trouble believing she's that much of a brat.
@Frufra - Right? What she's crying about is the opposite of every other actress. Every other actress wants to be taken seriously and not just paid to show their tatas. Plus, she just played Catwoman. That's a sexy role. It's up to her to create it.

I wonder if AH means she's being turned down for roles because they're telling her she can't pull off the sexy siren. I didn't see Batman (where she was CatWoman), but I saw her in Valentine's Day and Love and Other Drugs. She was fine in both, but she just does not have that sexy je ne sais quoi IMO. And OH THAT OUTFIT AT THE AIRPORT! I believe in traveling in comfort, but that tights/shoes/shorts combo reminded me of a medieval jester. I don't know why!

MS Girl - I'm actually glad to hear that about AH. I don't like that everyone has to have a cookie cutter look to be considered sexy. Like the movie Beautiful Girls years ago - I thought Uma Thurman was hot as hell in that movie, but my guy friends didn't agree. Clearly I have dumb friends. Ha ha
I just really don't like Anne period. Although, once I saw her on some late night talk shows and I grew to like her as a person, but hate her as a character. Now I am back to disliking her as a person as well.

Not buying it. Yeah, it's obviously supposed to be Hathaway. But everything I've ever heard about her has her a decent human being. The "notice me!" diva routine doesn't fit. If she had escort? There was a reason.
I dunno. I've worked for a couple of pretty famous people and sometimes it can get really hairy in public situations when there's no security. People crowd around and press closer and closer, squealing and yelling, snapping photos and reaching out to touch. And people at a certain level always have some crazy stalker sending letters about wanting to keep the celebrity's hair in a box or whatever. That's gotta always be in the back of a celebrity's mind in a highly public situation. The best intention of "I don't need people with me" can understandably crumble in the face of a couple of hulking, leering "fans" who just want to touch and then get abusive when they're asked to step back and just chill.
I met Anne Hathaway on vacation New Years Eve a year ago. She was so sweet and down to earth that I have a hard time believing this blind. We were in a very tiny place (small population) so we saw her often and she was never anything but great.

To be fair it looks like there's just one officer escorting her, didn't see anyone else around her in the DM photos. Its not uncommon at JFK/LAX for a celeb to have an escort when arriving/leaving the airport. But wtf is she wearing? a shirt with no pants? She used to be very elegant even when casual, lately she just looks like a bag lady sometimes.
