Your Turn

Do you think Trump will finish out his term?

Nope. Nope. Nope.

sandybrook said...

I've said since he won he wouldn't make it through summertime. I've always said six months tops.

AndrewBW said...

The only reason he might not finish his term is some health issue. Look at pictures of any of our last several presidents before and after -- it's a brutal job, and Trump doesn't like to exercise. Except on one of his gold courses. But he's not going to resign and he's not going to be impeached. Sadly.

jack said...

He won't be impeached. Barring a medical problem he might make it through

mariaj said...

not sure, but i hope not

dianavonthirstybird said...

He may make it but I sure hell won't!!!

Unless the RepubliKKKLan's finally come to their senses and put their Country first and not this Egomaniacal tyrant he will be in office till he's voted out, sad to say.

david said...

No.
He will be forced to resign just like Nixon was. And, he will leave with an agreement that new president Ryan will pardon him after leaving office.

I get the feeling Pence will be on his way out, too!

This administration was way over it's head from the beginning to succeed.

AND, my Middle Eastern Businessman buyer came out of hiding recently and expressed his pleasure at seeing Trump in so much trouble.

There is hope around the corner. I just want it to come faster than it is.

just sayin\' said...

no he's going to quit. roger stone's been setting up the scenario for his alzheimer's excuse. being declared non compos mentis will exonerate him from legal prosecution. trump may not like admitting to this "weakness" but he wants out of there almost as much as we do!

JustReading said...

I noticed that. So transparent. He should probably hurry up before Mueller gets up to speed.

Bleu said...

Yes. And he will be easily reelected. (He won more states than Obama won in 2008 at the height of mass swooning over Obama. That's how distorted the press coverage has been.)

david said...

Hmmm...
My comment was flagged for approval.
When did that start?

Camal19 said...

Yes. Don't forget, there were many times the Republicans tried to have Obama impeached. Every politician is shady. The media is extra hard on Trump, because they're left wing liberals, so everything is said and written with vinegar. Obama was protected by the press, and everything said and written was with sugar. Obama had many screw ups, just like Trump does. It's like Sully. Some people called Sully a hero for safely landing the plane and saving lives...and when they found out he was a right winger...the headlines turned into Sully is a bird killer.

The media feeds us all of our info. They can manipulate it to whatever they want and the people follow.

The White House is a dysfunctional mess under Trump. I don't see how he can prolong the agony he puts both his staff and congress through for an entire term. He won't change or grow into his role because he's unapologetically undisciplined and narcissistic, and has a fatal attraction for associates and world leaders who are bad actors.

Trump and Pence had a threesome with Putin said...

He's on the road to impeachment since he (and Pence) are treasonous traitors who colluded with violent Russian mob boss/ dictator Putin to win the white house. He's our first tabloid dictator wannabe president and I hope he descends back into hell where he came from.

Thia said...

He will definitely finish the term and won't be impeached. As for a second term, who knows. If his supporters feel their lives are better, then yes. Term #2.

Chris627 said...

how do you manipulate sharing classified information and firing someone who is leading an investigation on you?

Chris627 said...

let's see how those states feel if 24 millions members of them lose their healthcare

taylor said...

Absolutely. The media is still in a frothing frenzy over his every move, and it is only serving to further alienate the disenfranchised group of people who elected him (who laugh at the hysteria). The media is actually reporting on scoops of ice cream served at the White House.

Seriously. Scoops of ice cream.

just sayin\' said...

i'm confused by right-wing trumpists who comment on this blog. doesn't the right hate hollywood. maybe they're paid commenters who troll any mention of trump on the web, lol.

NOPE said...

I had Obamacare and it sucked. Too expensive with ridiculous penalties. Nobody at Healthcare.gov could answer a single question accurately.

Shorny said...

Lock him up! Lock him up! Lock him up!...

Noone said...

No but not because he's guilty of something. He'll just give up. I don't think he intended to win in the first place.

Another anon said...

Yes. The don't have anything on him. We can all wish though

Simon said...

Yes, but the media is doing everything they can to take him down. That will just make him dig in. Sure, give the country back to,the do nothing politicians.

Vera said...

This is such bullshit. Although I give you props for weaving such a tale out of nothing. Trump is his own worst enemy and will be gone soon. His ties to Russia are being exposed. And fools like you who support this conman will be responsible for the damage he causes to our democracy. Shame on you.

Vera said...

No. He LOST the popular vote by over 3 million and only won the Electoral College because Republican State governments gerrymandered districts so they can win. The press is reporting the facts. You are stating a lie.

Sadie said...

No. I doubt if he'll even finish out the summer. He'll probably resign before he's impeached though. Between his crybaby antics "poor little me!" at the Coast Guard yesterday and his ridiculous claim about being the most unfairly treated person, like, EVER! his paranoia is taking over. He was never in good mental health and the criticism has pushed him over the edge. Howard Stern knows him well and said there's no way somebody with Trump's thin skin and issues could survive the Presidency.

Sadie said...

I think the fact that Mueller was brought in shows, on the contrary, they have plenty against him and it stretches far. Rosenstein wouldn't have brought in such a big gun if he thought a paper pusher would do. Mueller has the reputation to not only bring down a President but make the GOP like it.

hakunafrittata said...

Sad to see "Your Turn" become a downvote fest because some of you don't like others' answers.

My answer is Yes.

david said...

Plus 1!
I can't wait for the day that announcement comes.
(But it will be all about how unfair he was treated.)

Thia said...

Sorry you cupcakes can't handle an educated opinion devoid of political opinion/emotion. HAHAHAHAHA

Thia said...

It's sad to see how uneducated the cupcakes are here. The question isn't "what do you want to happen?", but "what do you think will happen?".

Sarah said...

Bottom line: Trump is too thin-skinned for this job (among many other issues) and his mental/emotional issues and inability to handle heavy criticism are showing through. Do I think he will be impeached? No. Do I think they will find a health-related issue to force him out? Yes. Do I think Trump will fight that? No, I don't. I think he regrets running for office immensely.

NoseyNeighbor said...

Yes. His ego and delusional sense of self won't allow him to bow out on his own. However, I think he will do a lot worse before he's done.

spiffypaws said...

No. Not gonna make it

HH314 said...

Plus 2. Good riddance to bad rubbish

NoNotThatBeth said...

Regardless of anyone's wishes, I think he will go the distance out of spite.

Hot Cola said...

Maybe aliens will come and takeep him away on their ship. If this is lucky or not, remains to be seen.

Hot Cola said...

I think the Universe has tricked this man beautifully: he gave him the huge prize he wated (the presidency) and made him deal with a HUGE blow to his ego ( the constant criticism, people hate him).
I want go tell myself that has cried at least twice, locked in the bathroom, all by himsel, sienec moving to the White House ;-)

Hot Cola said...

My autocorrect is Loco today

Hot Cola said...

Yes. Something about this man ( Trump).makes me think he wanted more the concept of winning than the prize itself.

Sanctuary said...

The media is not taking him down. His indiscretions with classified info, his Russian financial dealings, his inability to keep his twitter account shut up all demonstrate that he is doing it all by himself. No one on his staff can protect him from himself...not even his daughter. His twitter is taking him down and speaks for itself.

Sanctuary said...

Excellent comment ^^^

Nova said...

Delusional....thy name is Thia. There is absolutely no way he will last this term. If you think there is, you'll be sadly disappointed....little snowflake cupcake that you are. I hope it doesn't make you cry too much.

Another anon said...

Don't hold your breath.

OKay said...

You don't know much about what's been going on for the last two years, do you?

OKay said...

I've gotta be honest. I NEVER thought Americans were dumb enough that he'd get this far.

Wildguess said...

No, I don't think he'll finish his term. Probably resign. He knows his lies are finally catching up with him, and finally the spineless GOP are turning on him, trying (in vain) to distance themselves from him. What a disgusting bunch of horrible, horrible crooks.

Wildguess said...

The media enabled this presidency. He's taking himself down. Never should have been elected.

Wildguess said...

Camal, the nicest reply I can make is that you are SERIOUSLY misinformed.

Anonymous said...

A few Republicans seem to be distancing themselves from Trump already. However, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, and quite a few more do not seem to realize that if they continue to support the deranged ravings of the Lunatic-in-Chief, they too will be going down with the Trump ship. U.S, citizens should ever accept the "I was just following orders" defense. It's complete BS.

just sayin\' said...

i'll take a do-nothing politician over a do-irreparable-harm- to-the-country-and-its-people narcissistic psychopath any time!

Thia said...

Try getting a job and having an objective opinion. And a job is not yachting.

Scandi Sanskrit said...

Nope. He's pissing off allies, being untrustworthy, and showing very risky behaviour.

And from my view-point as a foreigner, he's proving that he's actually worse than Crooked Hillary (whom I've always perceived to be the most hawkish, trigger-happy Democrat in my lifetime—whether or not my assessment is fair is another matter, I'm just saying that's my perception of her). The only difference between Trump and Hillary was: Trump had his baby hands in front of him where we could see them (because he was tweeting everything all the damn time) while Hillary had her hands behind her back... They owned the same nukes, except we never knew what Hillary was going to do with them. Now I'm not 'normalising' his habit of tweeting policy and other otherwise-confidential-stuff (that will never be normal, and it's still highly-inappropriate for a commander-in-chief) but as soon as I got used to him talking about policy on Twitter, he seemed less scary than Hillary would've been (because at least he'd be predictable). Until he started getting unpredictable: Like bragging about terrorism intel to the Russians and firing FBI directors.

Both make my skin crawl. I never liked her (she ran her campaign mostly capitalising on Trump's p*ssy-grabbing, instead of highlighting facts like Trump built Trump Tower using illegal migrant workers, just like he uses trafficking victims in Dubai—and then the American people voted for him because he promised them jobs, FFS). The only reason I was civil about her during the campaign was because I didn't want to spread all that negative energy around and add to the negativity (which she brought on to herself). I don't think my opinions matter, but I know how the human brain functions: You read negative comment after negative comment about Hillary from anonymous people online, and your brain reaches a breaking-point... And then they decide to vote against her (and I didn't want to contribute to that). But do I like her? I don't. I don't respect her as a woman even.

In the beginning, I actually trusted his stupidity/inexperience (like, I'd have family members telling me not to worry so much because he's too dumb to make his own decisions, but then he'll surround himself with people who know what they're doing... And then we were introduced to then-de facto First Lady Steve Bannon, and Lord was Mr. President whipped! SMDH). We were so wrong about him on so many things: I used to say, "he's going to run a country like a company", but then it turned out he ran it to the own benefit of his own companies/business chronies (and, yes, I do believe there's an oil company conspiracy in the White House—and don't you dare gas-light me into thinking otherwise).

At the same time, I think it's good for Americans to experience him to see how imperfect they are at home (so hopefully from now on, Americans who travel to developing countries can stop being so arrogant when they visit and the women can stop trying to force their "values" on us because they think their brand of "feminism" is superior to our ways of living). IDK if they'll change their attitude ever, because I think it's time to reflect, but they still don't get it.

That's just my view as a foreign citizen, tho. Of course it's different and more nuanced for actual American citizens whose healthcare, education system, and those primary needs are tied to every blank sheet of paper he signs without reading. Foreigner's international relations rant over.

Unfortunately, yes. Not sure after reading an op-ed piece today in NY Times by John Woo that what Trump allegedly said to Comey about Flynn/Russia investigation was an obstruction of justice. It is depressing but we could be stuck with him for 4 years? 8 years? Help!!!

just sayin\' said...

omg you trumpists are annoying, getting all of your friends to thumbs down every sensible comment here. go away trolls. you won - you got the president you voted for, leave the rest of us alone.

Shortie said...

His incompetency could bring him down. Crimes and misdemeanors. But as I understand it, Congress would have to vigorously go after him and as it stands now, with a majority of Republicans, that seems unlikely.

meagain said...

Oh I hope not. His incompetence scares me.

Scandi Sanskrit said...

I got 5 downvotes and I'm proud AF. I feel like CNN and they're just calling me "fake news" right now. When I got 10 dislikes, I'll LOL like Anderson Cooper did the first time he heard Kellyanne use the term "alternative facts".

I currently live in the Midwest and I KNEW he would win. The people around here are so stupid and I knew they would fall for whatever lies Trump told. I mean, I guess it's sad because they just want a better life. But who the F would believe TRUMP?!!

lol his supporters are a lot of middle class people who will realize how screwed they are when he raises their taxes in favor of lowering his own. How stupid you all look.
