He was -- he's not well-liked in the dance world and probably has delusions about becoming a moomin' pitchers mogul. He's the sort who's probably using her name to set meetings and go-sees for "projects" - without her knowledge or permission. If she gets him busy on something it'll just get him out of the house and out of her hair.

Nick Cannon is hosting America's Got Talent, which is live 2x/week so he's currently busy.
Plus Cannon has a morning radio show and (I think?) another gig of some sort (anyone?) My sense is that's always worked steadily and gotten his own gigs. He just seems like a decent guy. I hope Mariah appreciates what she's got.
weezy - I agree 100%! Nick seems like a great, down-to-Earth guy who is a total sweetheart and devoted husband/father. I'm not into his music and I don't watch his shows, but in every photo I have seen of him, he has that "Ya, I know I've hit the jackpot" face and looks sooo in love. Mariah seems the same way though. I really like the two of them together a lot!

However, there’s a scheming mind at work on the inside. She set her sights on her man long ago. She tried for years to wrestle a proposal out of him to no avail. When she got pregnant, he finally agreed to get engaged. Doesn’t mean they’ll actually make it to the altar, though. He told at least one friend that he is still hoping for a miscarriage as a way out of marrying her.
