911 Call of Teen Who Faked Kidnapping For Attention

This 16 year old girl said she was kidnapped and the entire country spent two days looking for her. Turns out it was all fake and all for attention and police have released her 911 call.

No freakin' way this chick is only 16! She has more wrinkles than I do!

I hope she gets some psychiatric help. *smh*

On this website, nine out of ten videos that I try to view are "currently unavailable." Anyone else have this problem, and/or know why I do?

Fairmaiden327 said...

I got the same.

@staple611/ same trouble

the girl is idiot (some years ago we had the same problem in France)

I think the judge should make her ass do community service for the center for missing and exploited children.

Same here, Staple. I'm on a MB Pro using Chrome, but it's the same on Firefox. {shrug}

This gives me rage face. If people knew the number of resources that go into a single 911 call, much less the number of resources that go into a search, maybe they wouldn't do stupid crap like this.

Oh, who am I kidding. Stupid is as stupid does. Not sure if this is a cry for help or a stupid person just wanting attention.

So, who's got money on her becoming a stripper before she's 21?

What a sick puppy..

It doesn't even show up on mine.

According to the sheriffs office, the cost was not a lot and will not be passed on to her or her parents.

This girl sent out a twitter message saying she was being kidnapped and to call 911. The sheriffs dept received over 6,000 calls to report it. I don't know how to do the link thing but the story is on the DM.

And if you check out the pics, she is actually at the train station and what is she carrying? Her purse and a larger bag.

Wow, just wow. Are her parents ignoring her completely? Like Miley, and this girl I did stupid shit at that age, but faking kidnapping takes it to a whole new level. I agree that she should do community service for missing people orgnaization/rape centers. What the hell is wrong with this gir?

What a d-bag.

didn't she pull this in early fall? why are they just now releasing the 911 tape? it only gives a little bit more attention now

there needs to be some sort of repercussion here beyond community service. even tho the (monetary) cost may not have been great, it was still a tie-up of resources and diverting attention from agencies/responders that need to be available for real emergencies. this really bothers me. i've seen the asshat peta people do it when they're protesting (fake 'abuse' from police/security guards, call 911) and while this isn't on the same scale, it's the same thing: needlessly diverting and tying up first-responder resources...what if they're/her closed loved one needed emergency services at that moment? so...point of this rant is, this young lady needs to learn a lesson now, before her behavior leads to peta-like disregard of the law.

Here, a local teen faked her kidnapping. She was looking at jail time, but got community service IIRC. I agree she should have to do something involving work with Center of Missing and Exploited Children. Hearing the horror stories, and speaking with families whose children are still missing could be a major wake up call.

Is this a gender thing?
That black girl who lied about being burned by the KKK
The lesbian who lied about being attacked and now this...

There's clearly something wrong with her. Maybe it was a mid life crisis!

A college student in MN did this awhile back. She even duct taped herself. She was caught on a video surveillance camera purchasing duct tape and rope.

Well, she is underage, for one thing. I know the police generally don't release even the names of minors, though in this case her photos and name have been out there because of the search. Still, if this were your underage daughter you might think twice about demanding her head; this will already haunt her for life, with the Internet and now the police releasing the tape of the call.

Oops, I think the story I heard about may have been this one, not a local one!

@just curious, stop the trolling. Idiots come in the form of male and female.

That'd what I was thinking! She looks my age and I'm in my 30s!

There will always be crazies...

@goes - holy crap I forgot about that! Here's a brief article of the Audrey Seiler debacle for anyone who's interested.

Anna V. Xol said...

Not her head. But she needs perspective and some serious character building. This is obviously not happening at home. Seeing that there are real people who actually do need emergency services and the grief and work surrounding that environment might just do that

For the record, she should be thanking her lucky stars she is not my child. Not only would she volunteer but say goodbye to going out because i will remind her that she could get "kidnapped" again.

Anna V. Xol said...

I forgot about that! They made a law and order episode about that. With whatshername? The one who does the whole "I'm an airhead" thing. Oh well

Cassiopeia said...

Thanks Amber. I couldn't remember her name.

This is part of a bigger trend that I think started with the constant Internet use. Kids are attention junkies and have too much access. It's all a competition for followers, likes, friends, views. It all amounts to any attention being good attention.

Mango said...

I couldn't view the video either so I went to the DM.

She tweeted that she was being kidnapped instead of calling the police, WTF? That should have been the first indication that it was a hoax.

hunter said...

@just curious - yea this is probably a gender thing. Girls seek attention and boys usually blow stuff up.

JSierra said...

The ultimate fame whore.

Amber I giver her until 18.

I think the only reason you could think this a gender thing is because to some people it is more believable that a woman is being kidnapped and in danger then a man, simply because those are the most publicized cases/most common (idk for sure, didn't do research, just guessing).

I wonder what other tricks this chick has up her sleeve

JSierra said...

I have been having the same vid problems but just attributed it to Enty not having permession to use the player/video source and so it was taken down for copyright reasons.

CrazyCatLady said...

Maybe she's just jealous Kimyane are "pregnant" (in the Beyonce way of course)

I can't view most of the videos either.

I'm sorry, have you never been on Facebook? Or Twitter? Instagram? It's a surprise to you that some young women and girls like to whore for attention? We don't all do it, but the ones who whore, whore hard.

Tweeting that you're being kidnapped reminds me of when Perez Hilton was "attacked" by Will.I.Am outside of Cobra here in Toronto, and he tweeted for his fans to call the police. The good news is that Cobra was part-owned by a friend of mine and that was right after they opened. You can't buy that kind of publicity.
