30 Rock Trailer Released

If you have missed 30 Rock for the past few months your time is almost here. New episodes start next month and NBC just released a five minute long sneak preview of the season.

Only One More Year For 30 Rock

If you believe Alec Baldwin, and there is no reason not to, next season will be the end for 30 Rock. Alec had already said he was not going to sign again when his contract runs out next year and now he told New York Magazine that Tina Fey will also not be returning. So, that would probably spell the end of the show. I guess the rest of the cast could stay and I think it would still be pretty funny. With the exception of Tracy Morgan it is not like any of the other actors are being hounded to come work on different things.

I have thought before that Alec Baldwin has always kind of kept the show together, but in the past season or two it is like they have taken his character and made it more and more cartoon like and unbelievable. It has been a good run and a great show.

Grizz Goes On Dr. Oz.

One of my favorite parts of 30 Rock involve the scenes with Tracey Morgan's bodyguards. I love them. One of them is played by Grizzwald "Grizz" Chapman. He is on Dr. Oz tomorrow and tells his own personal story about how he has to go on dialysis three days a week and needs a kidney transplant but can't get it until he loses 75 pounds. Even if he does lose the weight there is still a five year wait for them.

He went on the show because Dr. Oz and he have become friends. It turns out that if Grizz had taken his hypertension medicine he probably wouldn't need the kidney transplant or the dialysis. He isn't asking for special privileges because he is a celebrity. He is just sharing a story that so many people in this country can relate to and I admire him for coming forward and opening up about his failures and how they have led to this and hope he can set an example for how people can stay healthy.

I have never watched Dr. Oz but I am actually going to tomorrow. My thoughts are with Grizz.

30 Rock Gets Zero Share In German Debut

30 Rock made its national debut in Germany Sunday night and no one watched it. According to ratings reports released today, less than 5,000 people across the entire country watched the show which gave it a zero share. That has to be embarrassing. An entire country and no one wants to watch your show.

Ich weiß nicht, warum die Sender in Deutschland glaubte man möchte eine Sendung über sehr stereotyp nordamerikanischen Dinge zu sehen. Klar, hat es Tina Fey in ihn, aber sie kennen sie nicht. Die einzige Person, die sich für Deutschland wird wahrscheinlich wissen, ist, Alec Baldwin. Nun, wenn das Unternehmen wirklich will, um Leute zu beobachten, was sie tun müssen, ist die Hoff mieten, um in jeder Folge mit einem Lied oder etwas Witziges aus seinem Leben zu führen. Die Menschen werden in der Hoff Melodie und dann für die wunderbare Comic-Stylings von Liz Lemon und ihrer Bande von Schriftstellern stay tuned. Statt Werbung kann der Hoff take off Kleidungsstücke zu halten Zuschauer interessiert und am Ende kann er seine berühmte Hoff Tanz Strippen zu tun, während seine Peitsche und tuckern ein deutsches Bier.

Can't Wait For 30 Rock? Here You Go

The new season of 30 Rock doesn't officially kick off until next week. October 30th to be exact. But, you know I love the show and NBC is making it available, sooo, if you have 22 minutes to spare at work today, here is the first episode of the show. Enjoy.

OK, I Laughed

Yes, I admit it. I laughed when I saw the clip of Oprah from the new season of 30 Rock. Whether it is because Tina Fey set her up beautifully, or whether Oprah does actually have some comedic timing, I don't know, but their sneak peek scene from the November 6th episode is funny. Really funny. I also want to send a special thanks to the people at NBC for only including Jennifer Aniston for about one second of the 30 seconds from the preview. It is one second I won't get back of my life, but I do appreciate it.

No. Please Don't Let It Happen

I think I have made myself clear before about my love for 30 Rock. But, just to reiterate, I love the show. I love every part of it, and to follow along with that childhood taunt, yes I would marry it. I would marry 30 Rock. I don't care that Alec Baldwin is an ass of epic proportions in real life because, honestly, his assiness is what makes him so good for the show. The writing is great, the characters are great. And now they are going to ruin it. They are going to destroy it for one big publicity stunt, ratings week spectacular. They are going to put Jennifer Aniston on the show.

I don't care if it is for 15 seconds or 15 minutes, I do not want her to spoil that show. I already think it borders on the criminal that the producers of The Iron Giant have never taken my advice and found someone to replace her on that film. I consider that film to be one of the greatest animated films of all-time. It would probably be the greatest, but Jennifer Aniston is in it. Sure, after the first time you can mute her whenever she comes on the screen, because her character does nothing, much like the real Jennifer Aniston.

30 Rock doesn't need a ratings boost. Show people having sex or something if you need ratings. Tell Alec and Tracy they need to do a shower scene and show some ass. Anything. What you don't need is Jennifer Aniston and her publicity machine taking over the show. And you Tina Fey. Yes you. I want to hear your explanation and it better not involve anything that has the word great in it when it comes to Jennifer.

SNL And 30 Rock Putting On Live Shows

This promises to be a very cool weekend in NYC. The cast members of two New York-based TV shows that have been crippled by the writers strike, 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live, will deliver one-time-only live performances this weekend in Manhattan.

The sold-out shows will take place at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater on West 26th Street, with proceeds going to a strike fund established by the Writers Guild.
Saturday Night Live will be performed at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, and 30 Rock at 8 p.m. Monday. Superbad and Arrested Development star Michael Cera will be the guest host of SNL, and the musical guest is alternative rock band Yo La Tengo.

SNL cast member Amy Poehler said in a statement late Thursday that the theater is a "second home" to many of the performers and writers.
"We are doing this to raise spirits, raise awareness and raise money for our hardworking production crews who will be having a hard holiday season if this strike continues," Poehler said.

From what I understand, this is going to involve every cast member from both shows, and also a great deal of interchange as well since the 30 Rock people primarily came from SNL.
