I remember six years ago writing about the death of Anna Nicole Smith and all spring and summer there were these huge fights between Howard K Stern and Larry Birkhead and there was this confusion about how Ana's son had died and what happened in the Bahamas and who gave Anna what and why were they giving it to her and there are still things happening in courtrooms today related to her death. It is hard to believe it has been six years and how everyday there just seemed to be something new to discuss and one more bombshell after the other.

Dannielynn Birkhead Gets Put To Work At 6

You knew that it would not be that much longer before Dannielynn Birkhead got to work earning some money for her dad. I honestly thought he would go the acting route, but there is a little full circle quality to having the daughter of Anna Nicole Smith modeling for Guess which was also the employer of Anna. The six year old who looks like she is about 15 in the ads will be featured on billboards and buses. I hope you enjoyed your childhood.

Anna Nicole Smith Doctor Gets License Suspended For 90 Days

It seems like the Anna Nicole Smith never really ends. Last week, the Medical Board Of California suspended the license of Anna Nicole Smith's psychiatrist, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich for 90 days. It had been revoked but later the board changed it. The doctor was convicted of fraudulently obtaining drugs for Anna which was all that was left of the original 11 charges. You might remember that the doctor was actually convicted of two felonies but the judge tossed out one and another was reduced to a misdemeanor. The whole effort seemed like a big waste of money. I don't think it has stopped doctors from prescribing things their patients don't need, and if this was the best the prosecutors could get in a high profile case, they probably would not even bother pursuing something if it is just a regular person as opposed to a celebrity.

Can you believe it has been five years since Anna Nicole Smith died? We then spent the next six months wading through baby daddy drama and were still reeling from the death of her son right before Anne died. That was a crazy six months. Anna died 5 years ago today at the age of 39.

Howard K Stern Walks

Remember when everyone thought Howard K Stern and the two doctors were going to jail and all the charges they face for allegedly conspiring to get Anna Nicole Smith drugs illegally. Yeah, it seemed like there were hundreds of charges. Yesterday though, two of the defendants, including Howard K stern walked away totally vindicated and free while one other person got a slap on the wrist and probation for a year. That is less than a DUI.

I still think they are responsible for her death. They are the ones who made it possible for her to take drugs and to continue taking drugs. If they had not procured the drugs for Anna and she was forced to get them on her own, would she have been able to get them? I don't think so. I am trying to imagine a totally whacked out Ana being able to handle all of that on her own.

Anyway, after the verdict was handed down by the Judge, Howard K said, that the verdict vindicated Anna and that she could not be controlled by anyone. I have my doubts, but the justice system has spoken. Prosecutors said they are going to appeal. I doubt they will though.

Howard K Stern - Guilty

Yesterday a Los Angeles jury found Howard K Stern guilty of a count of conspiring to prescribe prescription drugs using fraudulent means and a count of conspiring to furnish prescription drugs to an addict. One of the doctors on trial was convicted of four counts, while the other doctor was acquitted on all charges. Stern had faced seven charges but was acquitted of the other five. Stern faces up to 3 years in jail when he is sentenced in January.

The most disturbing thing of all to me in yesterday's proceedings was the statement from the doctor who was acquitted. "A victory for patients everywhere who suffer with chronic pain." Umm, yeah, I am all for helping people who suffer chronic pain, but I think the pain Anna Nicole Smith had was from all the f**king drugs she was taking and not suffering the effects of an injury from her exotic dancing days. I could be wrong, but was there ever any proof that she suffered from chronic pain?

Supreme Court Agrees To Hear Anna Nicole Case - Again

It has been 15 years since J. Howard Marshall died. When he died Anna Nicole Smith said that her elderly husband had promised her $300M when he died. Instead she got nothing. So, for the past 15 years the case has been heard in Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco and in Washington DC. Yesterday the Supreme Court agreed to hear the case one more time.

Anna Nicole Smith met her late husband while stripping. Anna was 26 and her husband 89. Since the death of J. Howard Marshall, his son has died, Anna has died, Anna's oldest child has died and one of the people accused of maybe contributing to the death of Anna, Howard K. Stern is in charge of Anna's estate with Larry Birkhead.

At this point, lawyers in the case must have spent $50M in fees or more. You would think the heirs of the estate would throw Dannielynn a bone and give her $50M and make the whole thing go away. That the heirs have kept fighting shows how much they must have disliked Anna.

Larry Birkhead Testifies Again

Yesterday Larry Birkhead spent some of his afternoon telling a packed courtroom about Anna Nicole Smith's drug use. Nothing he said really shocked me. He said that she told him that she was not a drug addict and he believed her. Don't all drug addicts say they are not addicted? He did say he was concerned about her drug use and that at one point he tried to hide some, but Howard Stern told Larry to give them back because Anna needed the methadone to live.

Larry believed him and never hid drugs from Anna again. To me this all sounds like a bunch of people who were supposed to be friends like Stern and his sister and the various doctors all just enabled this woman to take as many drugs as she wanted because they wanted to bask in her fame. It kind of reminds me about Elvis and how no one would really stand up and say something even though they knew the drugs were killing him because they did not want to get fired or lose their access to the star.

It is kind of disappointing that Larry backed down so easily and just let Anna keep taking drugs and letting other people provide them. If you care for someone don't you want to try and help them? I am still amazed that Anna managed to even have a baby with all of the medications and drugs she was taking.
