Anthony Bourdain Has Died

TV celebrity and food writer Anthony Bourdain has been found dead in his hotel room in France while working on his CNN series on culinary traditions around the world. He was 61.

CNN confirmed the death, saying in a statement that Bourdain was found unresponsive Friday morning by friend and chef Eric Ripert, and calling his death a suicide.

Anthony Bourdain Throws His Ex Under A Bus

Anthony Bourdain is taking the separation from his wife Ottavia Busia not so well.  The chef told the New Yorker he was happy to no longer have to "pretend" to be in a relationship with his wife after secretly spending years living separate lives.

"She’s an interesting woman. I admire her choices," Bourdain told the magazine. He added that his ex’s love of mixed martial arts changed her.

"I married Sophia Loren. She turned into Jean-Claude Van Damme." Guess he wanted the stay at home Stepford Wife type.

Bourdain and Busia married in 2007. They announced their separation in September.

At the time of their split, Bourdain told the New Yorker that they had "lived separate lives for many years."

Paula Deen Responds To Anthony Bourdain But Doesn't Talk Racism

Back in January, Anthony Bourdain criticized Paula Deen for making money off her diabetes after encouraging others to cook food which can cause diabetes. It took her three months but Paula tells Prevention Magazine this month that Anthony's words were very very cruel. ”I thought, oh my gosh, what hospital did he just get out of?…People out there with diabetes haven’t chosen this. It’s not their fault. I thought that was very, very cruel.” No one chooses diabetes, but there are choices you can make which can lead to some types of diabetes which is what Paula's cooking can lead to and it did for her and for which she is now paid.

In the magazine she did not talk about the cruel remarks supposedly made by herself and her brother at the restaurant they own in Georgia. Calling someone the N word is way way crueler than what Anthony said.

Anthony Bourdain Slams Paula Deen

Anthony Bourdain was in Grand Cayman over the weekend at the Cayman Cookout and was asked his thoughts about Paula Deen and her diabetes announcement. He basically ripped her. He thinks she is a hypocrite for having people cook her signature dishes of doughnuts as a hamburger bun while at the same time knowing she has diabetes. He thinks she is even worse for positioning herself to make millions off the disease as a spokesperson for a drug company of the drug she is taking for her diabetes and she waited to make the announcement until she could profit off her announcement.

Anthony has never held back in anything he says or his disdain for many of the chefs or "cooks" on Food Network. It is odd that Paula waited three years to tell everyone while at the same time still cooking up dishes that are clearly not in the best interests health wise. That being said, I still love her food and have a had a few Krispy Kreme hamburgers in my day. I had to try it. Even I know it is horribly bad for you, but sometimes you just have to go for it.
