Nicholas Brendon Was Arrested

Former Buffy The Vampire Slayer actor Nicholas Brendon was arrested Friday after a night of being called Xander by half drunk sci-fi convention attendees in Boise. It must suck for Nicholas that he is forced to make a living traveling the country signing autographs and taking photos at $20 a pop so when he got back to his hotel and wanted his complimentary cookie and didn't get it, he started an incident. The fact that he was wasted probably led to him getting a little more vocal about the cookie and the conditions of the hotel which were just a reflection of his life and when the police came, it was too late and he was on a roll. He walked away from the police which they didn't like and arrested him and charged him with a multitude of crimes. As he was led away he could be heard talking smack about Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Joss Whedon Responds To Buffy Movie News

When Warner Brothers announced they were going to make a Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie you would think they would give the television creator, Joss Whedon a call. Well, you would be wrong. Joss though, shows you why he is so great in this e-mail he sent E! about his reaction to the movie and being excluded.

This is a sad, sad reflection on our times, when people must feed off the carcasses of beloved stories from their youths—just because they can't think of an original idea of their own, like I did with my Avengers idea that I made up myself.

Obviously I have strong, mixed emotions about something like this. My first reaction upon hearing who was writing it was, "Whit Stillman AND Wes Anderson? This is gonna be the most sardonically adorable movie EVER." Apparently I was misinformed. Then I thought, "I'll make a mint! This is worth more than all my Toy Story residuals combined!" Apparently I am seldom informed of anything. And possibly a little slow. But seriously, are vampires even popular any more?

I always hoped that Buffy would live on even after my death. But, you know, AFTER. I don't love the idea of my creation in other hands, but I'm also well aware that many more hands than mine went into making that show what it was. And there is no legal grounds for doing anything other than sighing audibly. I can't wish people who are passionate about my little myth ill. I can, however, take this time to announce that I'm making a Batman movie. Because there's a franchise that truly needs updating. So look for The Dark Knight Rises Way Earlier Than That Other One And Also More Cheaply And In Toronto, rebooting into a theater near you.

Leave me to my pain! Sincerely, Joss Whedon.

Xander Gets Tased

Nicholas Bendon has been on lots of television shows and even some movies, but he is best known for being the very irritating Xander in Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Last night he decided he would audition for an episode of Prison Break, but found out what happens when you try and run away drunk and take a swing at the cops. You get tased.

The police were called to Venice last night because some drunk guy was in an alley causing trouble. Nicholas yelled at the police, took a couple of mistimed swings and then ran for it. He made it a few feet before the police tased him and arrested him. The only thing they have charged him with though is felony vandalism.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Prinze Wants More Money Before Doing Buffy

Sarah Michelle Gellar, figuring no one would bother to add her husband's last name to her already long name went ahead and legally changed her last name to Prinze for the couple's 5th wedding anniversary. That's a pretty cheap gift, even though she has basically neutered him after five years of marriage.

Anyway, the greedy bride is playing coy with a Buffy reunion movie, but indications are such that if the price tag is high enough she will sign on the dotted line. She is claiming that the show came from a really bad movie (that sound you just heard was Kristy Swanson being thrown under a bus) and that the television series was needed to fully flesh out the character. SMGP feels as if a movie would ruin all that and ruin the artistic premise of the character. Before you start saying you feel her visions, remember this is the same woman who starred in Scooby Doo 2 because she felt that Daphne could grow as a character.

Give her $15M and watch how quickly she loves the idea of being Buffy Summers again. Besides, Alyson Hanigan could use a movie. Television is kind of ruining what was special about her.
