KISS Not Playing At Rock And Roll Induction Ceremony

Instead of celebrating their induction to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, the group has chosen to remain divided and continue their three decade animosity towards each other. Because no one could decide on a lineup to play at the induction ceremony, KISS has decided not to play at all.

"It is over 13 years since the original lineup has played together in makeup and we believe the memory of those times would not be enhanced. To bring this to a quick end, we have decided not to play in any line-up, and we will focus our attention on celebrating our induction into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame."

Apparently Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley didn't want to play if it meant including Ace Frehley and Peter Criss. They wanted the performance to include Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer. The announcement was made yesterday to skip the whole thing so people wouldn't waste their money buying tickets to the show thinking the band was going to play.

Gene Simmons' Daughter Tries Out For X Factor

It's like Jim Carrey's daughter on American Idol all over again. Over the weekend, Sophie Simmons tried out for X Factor. On Saturday she called her dad and told him she wouldn't be able to make it for Father's Day because she was in the Bay Area auditioning for the show. So, in typical Gene Simmons style he took Shannon and their private plane and showed up at the auditions. He probably also filmed it. When Gene showed up, Simon Cowell said it didn't matter and that Sophie was not going to get any special treatment and LA Reid said that since it was Gene's daughter it should be a yes. If, it is going to be truly done without any parental involvement don't you think these offspring should use fake names or stage names and just do it on their own. I like Sophie a lot. A whole lot. Maybe she did want to do it on her own and Gene came barging in. But, did she know he would probably do that? why didn't she wait until after the audition?

Gene Simmons & Tommy Lee Are Team Beyonce - Slam Rihanna

Apparently there is a new feud brewing and you have to choose sides. With Katy Perry trashing Beyonce while praising her best friend, Rihanna, Beyonce now has supporters. Namely Gene Simmons. Gene is hitting the road and presumably will be acting like a rock star with women despite his recent wedding. While promoting the tour, Gene called Rihanna fake and said that Rihanna is bulls**t and that all she does is dance and use a backing track. KISS is touring with Motley Crue, who if Vince Neil had any mercy on the crowds would use backing track also had their say. Tommy Lee says that Rihanna is pathetic and also called her fake. Umm, you were married to Pamela Anderson. Does she have anything real on her?

Gene Simmons & Shannon Tweed Got Married

Over the weekend, Gene Simmons finally got married to Shannon Tweed. I think he probably decided that he could do it after 28 years together, make a couple of bucks for the show, because it was taped and then get back to his lifestyle which includes seeing as many women as possible. Part of me hopes that he did it because he is in love with Shannon. Most of me thinks he did it because he is afraid of dating of string of groupies for what remains of his life. I also think he thinks that Shannon will not give him as hard of a time now when he goes out with other women because he did actually get married. Most of me is going with this last reason and he wants higher ratings for the show because then the show is on longer and he makes money from that and KISS sells more albums and concert tickets which means he makes more money.

Gene Simmons & Shannon Tweed Getting Married

Well, it took 28 years and a reality show, but Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed are getting married in a few weeks. I guess we know how Shannon answered in the season finale of the show. Getting married in a hotel makes everything easier, especially if it is like a mile from their house, which it is. One of my marriages was in a hotel. It was like one stop shopping. Ceremony in one of the ballrooms. Well, actually that makes it sound larger. It was in a ballroom, but they had the dividers up because there was a Mary Kay convention going on in most of the hotel. So, it was more like one-eighth of the ballroom was for the ceremony, then after, they moved us into another one-eighth for the reception which was nice, especially when the Mary Kay people started passing out free drinks. Plus, they had better food, so basically everyone just went over there. At the end of the night, no driving necessary, just have the bellman put you on a luggage cart and roll you off on the other side of your hotel room door. Wake up in the morning using your suit jacket as a blanket while you are huddled in a fetal position and you have yourself the beginning of a great honeymoon.

Anyway, Shannon and Gene's kids sent out lovely invitations, but the inside is the best.

That Whole Gene Simmons And Shannon Tweed Thing

I will admit that the Today show meltdown of Shannon Tweed when describing her relationship with Gene Simmons did make me watch at least the first few episodes this season of their show. There was some talk about how it was all for ratings and everything was still good between the pair, but after watching some episodes, it looked pretty real to me. In last night's finale, Gene proposed to Shannon which they have been teasing the whole season. Earlier this week, Shannon said the proposal was the most shocking thing she has ever seen in her life. It still has not got her back in the house though and she has repeatedly said there is only a slim chance they will get back together. I say that Gene is probably still out there being Gene. The season also showed what a prick he can be and I cannot believe she put up with that level of prickness for 28 years. Can you imagine what it was like when he was not closing in on Social Security.
