Halle Berry Gets the Side Eye

Halle Berry has filed documents to reduce her child support payments from $16 000 per month to $3 000.

Halle has pissed me off since she tried to get the courts to allow her to move Nahla to France back in 2012. At the time, she argued that France was a safer place for their child to grow up in, as the paps are less aggressive there. Damn, it's still early and my blood pressure is rising. The good news is that it seems Halle has stopped calling the paps as much.

Halle is now arguing that Gabriel Aubry is not working at all, and is living solely off her child support. Yeah...it's annoying, but it's par for the course. Women do it everyday, especially in LA, and no one bats an eye. Fact is, if there is a large disparity between incomes, child support is paid to even out the child's two households, even in a 50/50 custody situation. The court doesn't want kids to go between a small apartment and a huge mansion, because it breeds favoritism and bribing.

Given her income, $16k isn't a ridiculously huge amount. $3k will probably get her laughed out of the court. Lower it, fine, but don't be insulting. She's only been paying this amount since June, and you know what's sad? She's bitching about money that is undoubtedly being spent to care for her daughter (even if it's also paying the rent) yet she had to pay his attorney fees to the tune of $300 000. In this situation, child support is money better spent.

Regardless, now that Halle and Olivier Martinez are heading towards a split, I think she has bigger fish to fry.

I have been telling you for months that Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez were finished. Today The NY Daily News published a story where they say the couple is finished and are using the work commitment thing and hectic schedules as the reason. Yeah, those darn work schedules that had no bearing when they got married just eight months ago are now the cause of the split. Hey, they had to test the theory or leak it out so that way people would be ready and they wouldn't have to explain the real reasons. It is a really lousy excuse when you just got married. It is even more ridiculous when you consider that Halle signed on for a television show that is being filmed in Los Angeles and that Olivier is working primarily out of Los Angeles. So, take their explanation with a grain of salt and know that the real reasons are other people and that whole egg thing.

Gabriel Aubry Says Olivier Martinez Threatened To Kill Him - Nahla Is Scared Of Olivier

In the back and forth of court documents, I expected that each side would have their own version of events that transpired on Thanksgiving Day between Gabriel Aubry and Olivier Martinez at Halle Berry's house. The thing that got me about reading Gabriel's filing was not that Olivier threatened to kill him or the $3M that Halle Berry has spent on legal fees so far in a very losing cause, it is what Gabriel said that Nahla said as they were driving up Halle's driveway. "Olivier is here. I'm scared." Was this just something Gabriel put in? Was Nahla scared something was going to happen because of what she has heard? Is Nahla scared of Olivier? Olivier is not a nice guy. I think everyone knows that. The other interesting thing was previously everyone said Halle took Nahla inside away from the fighting. It turns out a nanny took her inside. I'm not even sure Halle actually even watched it. Sure would like to see the security tapes though.

Yesterday morning, Charlie Sheen finally got someone to talk about how his Christmas meltdown might not go down as the worst meltdown in holiday celebrity history. When Gabriel Aubry dropped off Nahla at her mom Halle Berry's house, Olivier Martinez decided to have a few words with Gabriel. Apparently the words were not about Gabriel's stellar modeling career or Olivier's cheating on Kylie Minogue while she was suffering from cancer. No, instead, Olivier said this has got to end. What has to end? Thanksgiving? Neither is American so that was probably not it. Black Friday? Neither of them seem much like shoppers although if Gabriel got a deal on some hair care products, he might wait in line. Gabriel thought Olivier was referring to the something though so took a swing at Olivier and the next thing you know, there is swearing in French and  throwing punches. Final damage? Olivier has a broken hand and neck injuries and Gabriel has a broken rib, and a head injury. Gabriel was arrested and then an emergency protective order was entered against Gabriel which will probably keep him from seeing Nahla at Christmas. So, who do you blame? Obviously they are both idiots but that is who Halle usually gets involved with so that is nothing new.
