Scott Weiland Found Out He Was Fired By Reading About It

The rest of Stone Temple Pilots finally reached their breaking point with lead singer Scott Weiland and fired him yesterday. How did Scott find out? By reading it online. From drugs to doing his own thing at all times and not caring about anyone else in the band except for himself, Scott did not make any friends with his behavior. I think the only reason he lasted this long with the band is the extensive break they had which gave everyone a long time to be away from the guy. Scott has a solo tour that starts tomorrow and says he will let his lawyers handle the rest of the mess with the group.

Scott Weiland Says He Was Raped When He Was 12

Lately it seems that every celebrity has said they were raped or molested as a child. Last year they all said they had been bullied. Next year they will all have been abducted by aliens wearing Tom Cruise t-shirts. In his memoir that is just being released, Scott Weiland talks about his heroin use, including shooting heroin with Courtney Love, other drug use, how he joined Velvet Revolver for the money, and blames them for not being supportive when he was going through his struggles with addiction. In the memoir he seems to do a lot of blaming of others and not so much blaming of himself. He also says that when he was 12 he was raped by a male high school senior. Scott says he suppressed the memory and only rediscovered it within the past two years thanks to therapy. He also now remembers everything the guy said to him during the incident.

Scott Weiland Off Drugs - On Whiskey

Scott Weiland gave an interview to Details Magazine and its a doozy. And by doozy I mean he has some good quotes in there. The thing I was most curious about he actually answered. I don't know if you recall, but his very soon to be ex-wife wrote a book about her experiences with Scott. In her book she teed off on him because he got a massage while she was in labor with their child. Here is Scott's explanation. "I was incredibly stressed-out. She was having contractions and that was tripping me out, so I called up our friend and she gave me a massage. I laid out right next to where Mary was. No one I've ever talked to thought it was weird. It's incredibly stressful when the person you love is having a child. And I was sober at that time, so I needed something to take the edge off."

Wow. I hope he doesn't wonder why they got divorced. Forget the drug binges and the jail time, I think that any guy who decides to have a massage right next to his wife in labor while she is going through intense pain because he feels stressed out is going to get his butt kicked to the curb. She is probably in a ton of pain, and probably even more so when she looks over and sees her husband being massaged so he can relax. Seriously?

In the interview he also says that he has given up heroin but that he can have all the whiskey he wants because it doesn't make him do heroin. Umm. OK.

Stay Classy San Diego

I love San Diego. It is by far one of my favorite cities, but I'm thinking the House of Blues down there is jinxed. If you remember, last year Britney Spears made her "return" to performing live at the HOB in San Diego complete with an OJ like chain of cars following her down there. Now, comes word that the Velvet Revolver show scheduled for the HOB in San Diego tonight has been canceled because Scott Weiland checked himself into rehab last night. The reason? According to some people I know who went to their show in LA last night it was one of the worst they had ever seen.

This bad performance was followed by his no show a couple weeks ago in Sundance where everyone else had to fill in for him. I honestly don't think that Velvet Revolver is going to get back together again. I think last night was it for them, and thus San Diego is going to miss out on seeing what used to be a pretty cool band and will be left instead with the memories of Britney pounding out Karaoke and doing some really crappy dance moves.

Weiland has struggled with his sobriety over the years and has been convicted in the past for DUI and also for buying crack cocaine. He faces additional charges for a DUI from this past November.

Tonight's San Diego show at the House of Blues has been postponed; the rescheduled date for San Diego is (to be announced). Velvet Revolver deeply apologize to their fans and thank them for sticking by the group."

To me Scott has always been an amazing talent who has let it go to crap with his drug and alcohol abuse. I hope he gets better and gets back to being what he used to be and what he has the potential still to be. Below is an early song from his STP days.

Hope Scott Weiland isn't back on the heroin. Hey at least he can still trash a hotel room. And like good parents should, his wife joined in the trashing and the kids got to watch mommy and daddy yell and scream at each other and just absolutely destroy the hotel room.

Jude Law is hot for Natalie Portman. She doesn't exactly fit his pattern of trashy ladies, but maybe he thinks he needs a change of scenery.

I'm sure you all heard that two photographers are suing Denise Richards and Pam Anderson in that whole throwing the laptop episode. What you may not have heard is the extent of Denise Richards' vocabulary. It seems as if she is very proficient at saying f'ing c**ksuckers over and over and over and over and over.

Now, if I was going to be mean I could say something like when you do something often enough then it becomes part of your vocabulary. But, since I'm nice I just won't say anything.
