the price of the star depends on several factors, i believe, the biggest being the location. i thing the category also counts.
i also think a star CAN be "bestowed" on someone, and those are the ones that are truly worth it.

Every time I see Toni Collette, I think of Japanese Story, which is such a beautiful, odd movie. Find it and watch it if you haven't yet.
P.S. I don't think we would see Sarah Jessica Parker from that angle if it weren't for the big poufy thing on the back of her dress. She would disappear.
