Unemployed, Newlywed, Wife Pregnant, Welcome To The Recession Hank Baskett
To make room for dog killer Michael Vick on the Philadelphia Eagles roster, Hank Baskett was released and so is no longer employed. Oh, I think he will probably end up getting a job with a team at some point this season, but when you get cut this early, chances are your career is not going to last much longer. I guess we should expect several seasons of Hank & Kendra or whatever their reality show is called because Hank needs a j-o-b. Of course the fact that he has no job, a new wife and a child on the way just makes him like everyone also who also finds themselves unemployed and in the same situation with family. Minus the whole posing naked thing of course. I'm sure that everything will be fine. Kendra makes enough for the both of them and Hank can be her manager or something.
When Hank was asked to comment about getting released he didn't want to talk to any media. I understand it sucks to lose your job but you can't use the media when you have something you want to promote like your show and then shut up when they want to ask you a question about your future. When Hef was asked about Hank losing his job, Hef replied, "Who?" No, I'm sure he knows who Hank is. He went to the wedding. But I wouldn't bet against him saying who.

I hate to sound catty, but Kendra has a the weirdest-looking mouth when she smiles. It looks like a cartoon.
Also I can understand Hank being upset and not wanting to talk to the media right away. It's humiliating.
I'm sure they'll be just fine.
This man just lost his job....he was probably feeling really low and just didn't have the time nor the desire to talk to anyone.
He probably just wants to be alone for awhile and recollect himself.
His not the one going around pimping the show....it's his wife Kendra and the show is really all about her....his just the sidekick.
It sucks to get fired and to get fired in such a public way....
I've been fired before....when I was in highschool and I just cried for days.
So yeah I know how it feels and I don't see how you can rag on him just because he chose not to talk about being fired.
ugh, he was really cut to make room for Jeff Garcia, an ex Eagle who helped take them to the Super Bowl '05.
But the truth remains, we have 4 qbs, one whos hurt, one who can't play for shit, one who can't play for another couple games and now back to Garcia.
Sucks to drop Baskett because he's a pretty good WR. We did need a starting qb in light of McNabbs injury...but the truth remains that Donovan and Jeff are old for their game...just makes no sense.
but yeah, the nueconomy sucks.
I guess I dont know enough about sports but is he really that bad that he cant get hired somewhere else?
@linnea - there is a chance he could be hired by another team, it's just that it's already late in the season for making changes. Teams have filled out their positions. But someone could get hurt, not perform up to expectations, etc. The timing sucked for Hank.
He should drag her to the nearest ACORN office for economic advice.

if i make no mistake, kendra owns a townhouse or condo in the san diego area. she rented it out, since she was living with hef at the mansion.
she may have some financial sense.

Julie, I'd rather hear that he got dropped for Jeff Garcia than that p.o.s. Vick. I've always wondered if Jeff Garcia was related to my family (Spanish/Irish family who have many redheads who speak spanish)....hmmmmmmm.

No, he was dropped for Vick. They moved a guy to the IR for Garcia. They activated Vick to the 53-man roster which necessitated the Baskett cut.
I hope Kendra likes that international hot spot Indianapolis.
