This smoky voiced actress who used to be B list when she was on a hit show is now a struggling C with some issues. One of her issues seems to be that even though she went to an event with a date, it did not stop her from hitting on almost every guy she saw or who came up to her. Every five seconds she would excuse herself from her date, go get a number, and then come back and cozy up to the guy like nothing was going on.

Fran Drescher is definitely not smoky-voiced. I also don't think it's Kathleen Turner. I think that the fact that the actress kept scoring numbers gives us an age range that excludes her. I have no decent guesses as of now, but I'm vetoing the nanny and turner.

This is a shot in the dark, but what about Jamie Pressly? She was everywhere around the time of My Name Is Earl, but now -- not so much. I'm pretty sure she's a recent divorcee, which would be an obvious reason for why she was playing the field.

What about Drea de Matteo? I dont know if thats spelled right..but she smokey voiced and has taken a slide professionally since sopranos. Although I think she is married..
I kind of like the Laura Prepon guess. Although she's a Scientologist, doesn't that preclude her from hitting on anyone not in the COS, or that at least she can convert?
although, I take that back. Smokey-voiced would not be my first description of Laura Prepon's voice.

I LOVE Shoreh Aghdashloo, and she does have that husky voice, but she's in a relationship or maybe married and even tho she's been on TV the longest of which was 1 season in 24 I think of her as mainly film.

Don't judge Kristen for her 'issues' with the Octokids. It's not like they were well behaved and she flipped out for no reason. I couldn't have put up with that either, especially not in the First/Business class where I spent thousands on a ticket just to have a bunch of wild animal 'children' torture me in an enclosed space.
So...yeah. I'll guess Miley. Mostly because she's so attention-whorey this probably is something she'd brag about.

The brunette from One Tree Hill has a very smoky voice, and though she's still on the show it's no longer a hit. WTF is her name? The one who dates Grey Goose on the show. Sophia? That show used to be a bigger deal and all the cast members used to get press...
Kid Sis you're referring to Sophia Bush. And she "dates" Grey Goose off screen as well, so if he were here date, I can see why she was getting other numbers!
Although, I can see her character on OTH doing this, Sophia is apparenly very UN-like her character Brooke, so maybe not. Plus the show is still on the air for one more tragic season, and I read the blind as she's not on the show anymore, or it's not on anymore, not that it's not a hit anymore. But I suppose you could technically read it that way.
@Upside -- I'm a guy, and I think Kristen Johnson is way hot (and talented).
The only smokey voice actress I can think of is Yancy Butler. She had a hit show in 2000 (Witchblade) that went down the tubes because of her alcohol addiction. There were also some restraining orders by her family for her behavior.
She was a fairly descent actress & seems to be doing more work lately.
I loved Kristen Johnson in 3rd Rock, but she doesn't have a smoky voice. Yancy does. Lauren Bacall smokey - like whiskey, cigarettes, 2 miles of bad road & great sex.

I was thinking Elizabeth Perkins. I just discovered "Weeds" this week and her voice haunts me in my sleep. I'm only on season 3, but I hear that she left a few seasons later.
