Jordan Powers Gets Back Together With Former Teacher
For about two weeks there I was really proud of Jordan Powers. She is the 18 year old girl who was seduced by her teacher who ended up laving his family and quitting his job to be with his former student. They claim they were never sexual until Jordan turned 18. Uh huh. Well, her teacher ended up getting arrested for another incident in which he did have sex with a 17 year old a few years ago and Jordan called the relationship quits and realized what a perv she had for a boyfriend. Fast forward two weeks later and she is back with him.
Her mom is still trying to get the teacher prosecuted and police are still investigating and I really have no idea why Jordan would want to get back with this obviously closeted guy who is compensating for his issues by having sex with girls instead of women.

This guy obviously likes them young but he had a wife and several kids. Hell his own daughter went to the same school that he taught at and probably knew Jordan Powers. To say he is "closeted" is a bit much since the evidence is not at all pointing that way. I think Enty is projecting here.
Also What's with the "a few years ago" comment Enty? It was 14 YEARS AGO! That's not a few in any possible sense of a word. It was over a decade ago. Something about this is obviously upsetting Enty.
As for Jordan getting back together with this guy I'm not at all surprised. She did mention that hooking up with her teacher has cost her her entire life. I bet if she went back home her mother didn't let it go, she seems like a know it all bitch, and I highly doubt her former friends would either. Her only real choice is to start over again from scratch or get back with him. At least until she gets too old for him and he finds another teen to pork.
This guy is pond scum, but I have a problem chasing after adults. She is eighteen, and most people make mistakes growing up. How long do we infantalize people?
Now for me to get on my soapbox: I teach a majority of 18 to 20 year olds. From what I've read on their essays, they have done things by the time they are legal that I've never done in my entire 41 years! Yet they are quite emotionally stunted and disconnected from their actions. I think a lot of this has to do with a culture that protects them from EVERYTHING.
We have shows like Tiaras & Toddlers, which is basically kiddie porn. I'm sorry, but dressing your four year old like a thirty year old is sick. Combine this with instant media, and we got some confused kids.
I was a teenager in the 80s, and it was pretty bad then. I wouldn't want to be a kid now. Socialization is just nuts now.

I'm pretty sure I saw these two on Dr. Phil within the last month (ah maternity leave!) and she is totally head over heels for this guy. If I'm right, he was actually married at the time he started seeing her. Her mother HATES him.

This is an abuse of power due to the uneven power relationship between the pair. He was an authority figure who SHOULD NEVER HAVE GONE NEAR HER, and she was and is a young and impressionable barely woman. I hate when any young person before the age of 30 hooks up with an older person, they haven't had time to find themselves or to know who they are. They often don't get to go out as the older person has been there, done that. They miss out on so much. Prosecute the bastard and hopefully she escapes, goes to school and dates guys her own age.

Yeah it's called grooming. She's pretty helpless unless she gets psychological help.
There is a difference between pedos and pederasts. Pedos abuse pre-adolescents. I'm not excusing guys who are well of age going after pubescent girls (PATHETIC), but do you remember when you were a teen? It really doesn't matter to some teen girls how old their man is. The older the better for some. It's a crazy age, and you do crazy things that you hopefully don't regret for the rest of your life. The idea is to fondly reminisce upon those times.
What feraltart said. It doesn't matter if she's an adult (especially since it's glaringly obvious they were having sex when she was much younger). It's illegal for therapists to have sex with their patients no matter what age they might be, and it's similarly unethical for a teacher to have sex with a student, a doctor to have sex with a patient, employer with an employee, etc. because of the power differential. Not saying there can't be some healthy relationships that start that way, but it's awfully sketchy.
