But as far as people commenting about her weight (those who think others shouldn't), this is what happens when put your life on display to make a buck. Let's be honest, the girl doesn't have acting or singing talent and this is her way to keep making a buck. So good or bad, you've put yourself out there for all to comment.

I agree with AKM, Jessica has a beautiful voice but I believe she also has horrendous stage fright and so she decided to shy away from a singing career. I actually like Jessica Simpson - she's refreshingly unfiltered.

I usually hear people on here calling her dumb, but I think she's a genius playing dumb, or whatever you want to call her. I loved to hate her on Newleyweds but I could never look away from her. and now, I just got home from shopping at Lord & Taylor. Whether or not she is a designer, half the items I picked up had her name on them. I love her style. I even remember this awesome neon yellow and black scuba dress she sang "A Little Bit Goes a Long Way" on MadTV waaaaay back. I'm not obsessed or anything.

It's curious why Jessica Simpson never hit it big in music. She can sing but couldn't make a career of it. She can't possibly write for herself so would have to rely on others and it just never worked for her. Odd because she's very pretty but she's just not interesting enough to care about.
I just can't stand her. She's so pointless. The only thing nice I can say about her is she has no stains on her clothing. I'll never buy anything with her name on it because I don't even want a penny of my money encouraging her.
Jessica actually did quite well in music at the start. I met her (and her dad) when she was doing her radio tour in the late 90's (she had released "I wanna love you forever" or whatever it was called.) Then she had "I think I'm in love" (ripping of Mellencamp's Jack and Diane) and after Nick she had "With you" (went to #1)
I'm wondering why she didn't keep with the singing, as well. She's really good at that.

I don't normally comment on someone's weight, but Jessica Simpson is going to be very sorry she used pregnancy to eat everything in sight.
That weight is going to be very difficult to take off and remain off. She is lucky to be able to afford nannies so she can spend her time working out.
I wonder if Dakota Fanning will be able to make it in the long term. She's still cute, and she has real talent, although she'll never be a femme fatale. Still, I give her huge props for playing with Kristen Stewart in "The Runaways," a movie I thought should've done much, much better than it did.
As for Kirsten Dunst, she was adorable as the little girl-vampire in "Interview With The Vampire," and she's handled some more mature roles fine since then, at least including her teen years. She's not beautiful, but she is talented and she does have her share of guts. I could see her perhaps becoming a Glenn Close type of actress someday, but only if she plays her cards right and gets a few breaks as regards the parts she's offered.
Also, she would be much cooler in a looser, lighter-weight outfit.

She is not meant to be a stick, but she has a long way to go get any weight off at this point. And I wouldn't give a shit if she didn't prance around in those tiny shorts bragging about her workouts, etc when she was skinny. You put yourself out there, then deal with it.

And I never said she couldn't sing but she has absolutely zero stage presennce and couldn't make a career of it. Commercially (and let's face it, that's all they are), her sister had a more successful singing career than Jessica. She charted higher and sold more. And add me to the group that can't stand her style of singing. Her over-the-top, trying too hard version of Take My Breath Away made me want to gouge my eyes out.
And JS putting herself out there is different than readers posting photos. JS sold her soul to reality tv and doing whatever she can to be famous. And the tiny bits I saw of her Price of Beauty or whatever showever a very vaccuous, self-absorbed idiot.

I think Jessica can lose the weight but it's gonna suck balls doing it. I blew up like a life saving raft with all 3 of my pregnancies but the 2nd took more time to lose cause I had to go back to work after only 6 weeks. And I also went the Jessica route and ate ALOT. The dr I worked for at the time reminded me a few times I had to lose all the weight after I delivered but I told him fuck it I don't have permanent morning sickness 24 hours this time and I want Chinese and a whole bag of Doritos dammit!!
I might be wrong on this, but I got the impression that she couldn't give a sh*t about Nicole Ritchie and wasn't bothered by any of NR's attempts to meangirl her when they were shooting that fashion programme. I like her a lot on that basis alone. She might not be the smartest person ever, but she doesn't seem malicious or spiteful.

When I was working, I always worked the 4th. My group had internet access for research, so we would read CDAN (never comment, not allowed) as a group, taking turns shouting out the reveals and then go back and see which CDAN reader guessed it first. Made the day bearable. We also did our own "fake barbecue", requirement was whatever you brought in must contain bacon in honor of Enty.

As I was impatiently waiting for Enty to start posting, I was reading this months Marie Claire with an interview of Jessica Alba. Rememeber a week ago a blind about an actress who started out being objectified as a sex object and now is known for something completely different? The article is all about her safe baby product company which she loves to work in the office and just be a regular person. It's so her. I can't remember our guesses except Brook Sheilds was a no. But it's totally Jessica Alba and I bet it's revealed today.
