Blind Items Revealed

June 4, 2012

What former A list actress who seemed to be in every movie made over a 5 year period and now is maybe a C spent all of a recent coast to coast airplane flight in first class while her daughter and nanny flew in coach. It might be nice to at least go back and visit them. Oh, and she also refused a flight attendant's request for a photograph by saying she does not do those. And everyone used to think she was so sweet.

Kid in coach, no. Refusing autographs, given what she's been through, gets a pass on that.

Damn, I used to like her so much. Maybe she needs some counselling to get past her issues? /sigh

after America turned on her I can see her not wanting to sit and pose for people. Plus it isn't cool for a flight attendant to bother passengers. The nanny in coach I get, but the kid. That is a bit harsh. But maybe that is how the rich do.

The fact that she treats her own daughter and nanny as below her disgusts me. What a bitch! That's *your* kid!!

What a tucking witch.

That is so mean to her kid!

@LaGrange - it started at 9:15 am no?
So another hour fifteen?

All that sympathy I had in that last blind is GONE!

Remember, she's probably traveling on the dime of whoever is employing her, and she can no longer demand three first-class tickets and maybe can't afford to upgrade her daughter.

Damn you autocorrect! I meant she's a fucking witch, a rude awful witch. I hope your kid puts you in a shitty home when you get old Meg!

Some airlines don't allow kids in business and first class.

Elizabeth said...

Not sure I would judge on this. If the child is with the nanny and is only a few aisles away, maybe not so bad. And if she goes back there it would create disturbance. If she poses for one photo, it's a dozen and she's on a plane that has a couple hundred people. She may have come to the conclusion this is the least disturbing way to travel after years of variations.

timebob said...

I remember a family vacation my parents got upgraded from coach to business mid-flight. They left me and my brother in the dust and didn't check on us once. The call of leather seats is powerful.

In Meg's defense maybe she didn't have enough points to upgrade the kid.

Cathy said...

How often do you see kids flying in first class? People that spend extra money to sit in first class don't want to be around screaming brats. I really don't think any part of this is a big deal.

Lauren said...

I cant imagine flying in first class and putting my own baby in coach. I try not to judge other mothers though so I hope she had a good reason and isnt just a b*tch.

timebob said...

Plus the fact the child is adopted so no matter what class this kid flys in. Her life was upgraded by Meg adopting her.

it took forever said...

I am not going to beat her down for this, kids with the nanny so whats the prob, mommy needs a little break every now and then

Elizabeth said...

Isn't her daughter six or seven now?

Henriette said...

All the mothers out there, would you do this with your kid? I know I couldn't let my twins sit in the back unless it was with their father. Even then I would keep going back to check on them.

If it was a money issue, I would have put on a disguise and go into couch with my kid. Heck, I don't even recognized Meg Ryan now.

timebob...that's a good way of looking at it. :)

@Agent**It - I finally won something! I'd like to thank my mum and family. Without them this day would not be possible. This is for you Meg! I don't care what they say about you. You may still bear my children! Joker lips and all!

I just wanted to say something about the blinds, PSL and a few others were talking about how only the *easy/obvious* ones are being revealed. I think some of you are **so** good at guessing these...I have no clue when I read most of them, that maybe it seems that way to most of you? I mean that in the kindest way possible, by the way, in case it doesn't come across the internet as I intended.

Also, as B. Profane noted a couple of times today, that some of the more damaging of them, are most likely made up by the other 'ghost writers' that are here now and/or he can't reveal yet due to possibly being sued.

I read all of these when he first put them out, then all your guesses...and most of them I was still surprised when they were revealed...you all ARE just that good. =)

I never had a hired nanny and I never was a celebrity. If you have your daughter with you, do people start taking her picture? Do you want that on a plane where you're trapped for five hours? Is the most low profile way to travel to just quietly go to first class, sit down and let the nanny who you've come to trust with your child sit with your daughter a few aisles away and then slip off the plane with no one ever knowing your daughter was there and reporting on her behavior in Star the following week?

I'm not saying that's what it is but I could see that being the case.

I was once on a flight from LAX to IAH (Houston). Jaclyn Smith was in first class in front of me, her son was on the flight but he was in back (they came on board together).

A couple of flight attendants asked for autographs and she happily obliged. After she took off, she went in the back to sit with her son.

Funny part of the story was, her son thought they were going to switch seats and he came up first, but they went back together. Obviously he wanted the free drinks.

True story, bro.

That is a nice way of putting it Spider, I just think they are whiny whiners. But I don't think Enty has ghost writers either, he is fed items and he reports them. He isn't the NY Times he doesn't have a team of vetters to check every fact for accuracy. We just guess and debate and move on.

I dont care how much a person likes Meg. I wouldnt keep my kid in coach while i was flying first class. Hopefully this is the worst of her mothering. Also some people in America turned on her but not all! I certainly didnt blame her for the affair. She made a mistake!

Hmm, I guess it depends on several things we don't know.

I don't know. When the plain hits turbulence, I would freak knowing my kids weren't near me. Maybe that's me though.

"But I don't think Enty has ghost writers either..."

Oh yes he does. Writing styles don't match, plus sometimes the ghosties get their panties in a bunch and bitch out people like me who out them in the comments. It's pretty obvious. They write like the flacks that they are.

timebob said...

Agree to disagree on that point B. and Enty usually notes when a reader submits a story and gives credit.

A lot of people including myself get passionate with defending Enty on his stories and who he is or isn't. Some people just get carried away.

Meg gets a pass on this IMO. If it was a work related trip, it might not have been in her rider for 3 first class seats, as someone posted above.

I've never been on a flight with a famous person onboard, but I can just imagine the scene if they came out of first class for a visit with the child. It wouldn't be just 1 autograph from a flight attendant, but probably alot more and people telling you how fabulous you were in such and such movie. Sounds like a big hassle to me if you are "off-duty" and trying to sleep.

krk67 said...

As someone who was in first class this morning (upgrades), I'm grateful that she didn't have her kid in first... it's a waste of a decent seat.

Basil, Elizabeth, and B.Profane are likely on the mark with this.

As someone who flies a lot last minute for work, there's also the possibility that they were trying to get somewhere on short notice and there was only one F seat available. Not unheard of when there's only first and coach classes and flying out of LGA or LAX.

The kid was with her nanny who is likely like a second mom/big sister to her.

I can't even come close to judging Meg Ryan for this. While she may have been willing to, she knows dang well that she can't fly in coach due to the invasion of privacy that would undoubtedly arise.

This story is BS. CDAN needs to stop lying.

In this case, the person who reported this BI didn't even see Meg;s daughter but simply assumed it was her because the girl was asian looking. Whatever.

RE: Timebob / Denise

Meg Ryan adopting a foreign kid in itself isn't necessarily an upgrade if she doesn't treat the kid as if it were her own flesh and blood. Whether or not she couldn't place her daughter in a seat near her as her mother is one thing but I hope it's not an indication that she wanted a child in name only.

Abouth Enty's writing styles:
Like several commenters, usually Enty does not know the distinction between then and than, and always uses then ("better then being alone"). In the last three months, he has used than correctly about four times, and it stuck out like a neon light. Then last week he said then again when than would have been correct. To me that's a you know it or you don't type thing, not a sometimes you remember, and sometimes you forget. Than is a comparison, then is an order of operation. Similar only in sound. Because of quirks like that, I find it very likely there is more than one writer contributing.

^^^^Also, I know the distinction between "abouth" and "about." One is a typo, one is the word I meant. Sorry.

I wish everyone would stop thinking that parents think of/treat their adopted kids any different than a naturally-born kid.

My mom adopted me, and she forgets that I am not related to her, especially when hereditary health issues come up. I think it's funny.

I'm imagining that Meg for whatever reason, I guess it makes sense, was buying the nanny a coach ticket. I imagine nannies get very close to the kids and kids will choose the nannies over the parent in some cases. So, I bet the daughter had a choice of who to sit with, or maybe Meg had to read a script during the flight and couldn't care for a child at the same time, which is what a nanny's for! To take care of the kids while the parents are working. And the photo thing? Sure, one pic turns into 100 and then she could never do any work. And with what she's done to her face (I'm sorry I'm not mean, everyone is beautiful but something went wrong in one of her too many surgeries) she probably doesn't want her pic on the internet bc of course she's seen the horrible comments people write.

I don't think it's a bad thing that she was in first and the nanny and child were in coach. Lord people act like coach is the 7th level of hell and while it can feel like that, it's not that bad. (Security is the 7th level of hell.) A lot of people do not want a child in first class and frankly it is a waste of a seat. Also almost all celebs I have seen (and almost all Elite frequent flyers) do this very thing. I was a flight attendant and I saw that a lot.
As someone pointed out, a SAG actor is given first class seats for their job but they are responsible for their family to travel UNLESS they negotiate that. The studio would then buy them a ticket but would not be obligated to cover them for first class under SAG rules.
Meg has never been one to allow pictures or do autographs..She's always been like that.
I was on a plane with Ice Cube and he had to fly in coach. Everyone wanted his autograph and while he was accommodating up to a point he finally had to have a handler just say no more. The man looked exhausted and yet he was as nice as could be.
I'm giving her a pass.

When does a Mom get a chance to separate from their child for a nice chunk of time and feel way less guilt?

Got kid? Check!
Got Nanny? Check!

It's a pass..
