While pretending to be head over heels with one guy she has been secretly texting and calling and e-mailing her ex which is also a reality star who has fallen on hard times fame wise. She wants them to get back together even though he spent most of their time together cheating. She is willing to put up with it for the return to the lifestyle she had before.

Kate and Jon already did this. They weren't really together the last year or so filming. It was so obvious they just did it to keep the show together. I actually felt bad for him getting all those cheating stories when they weren't even together and it was some arrangement.
