Blind Item #2

Apparently the next hour this former B list reality star spends alone with her child other than a photo shoot will be the first hour she has spent alone with her child since the day after her child was born.

That poor child - I actually thought Holly seemed sweet...I guess not, if this happens to be her. :-(

Motherhood not what she thought it would be? Reality set in on day one with all the crying.

Little baby Rainbow is not a doll.

She may have postpartum depression. Not everything is as it seems. She may be a fame whore, but there may be a greater issue going on. I was very lucky. Not even a glimmer of PPD when I had my kid. In fact, it made me a whole lot nicer and happier. Well, to my kid. Adults can bugger the fuck off. :)

Nothing pisses me off more than people having babies when they don't really want them.

CeeKay- I have a theory that is it is about 50-60% of the population either think they want one and then realize it's actually not all it's cracked up to be or who don't REALLY want a kid but do it bc it's "what you do" in our society and it is "the next step".

Holly has always wanted kids. If this is her, it sounds. Lot like ppd.
Snookie maybe? Or I would say Kendra but her kid is old.

New Life and Attitude said...

@ Katie - I totally agree with your theory. I have never wanted to have children and e en now at the age of 43 I'm happy with my decision. People look at me sometimes like I'm a freak when I say that I don't have children.

@New Life

I always find the people who are most "astounded and horrified" at the decision to not have kids (and who are the most vocal about the reasons why YOU should) are the ones who are most unhappy with theirs. They want everyone to feel their pain!

I have had one too many men complain to me in bars about their lives and their wives after children that I am skeptical as to how happy the majority of parents are-esp after studies confirm it makes you less happy!

Dammit! I just wanted to say Dammit.

Count me as another childless and extremely happy woman. The Opster is very pleased we have no chirrens.

Holly did want babies. Very badly. Or maybe she just wanted a Hugh baby. I think this may be Snooki or Kendra. It doesn't say baby it says child. In which case it would be a like a "duh" moment since her show showed how selfish she was.

Funny, I'm 50 and no one has ever thought it odd that I didn't have children. Oh, except when I was in the Peace Corps in Costa Rica, no one there could fathom that at the then-age of 27 I didn't have nor want children! But in the US, nope, never got that. Not from my family either.

Katie and newlufe- i dont get the pressure to marry and reproduce either, and i am both. But if someone says i dont want to married, or have children, wldnt THEY be the best judge of what they want????

JoElla said...

Ahh this blind makes me sad, because it does sound like major PPD.

I never got the whole 'everyone must have babies' thing. I guess I look at it as a personal choice. I made the choice to have kids, because that is what my husband and I both wanted.

I would never judge anyone for choosing not to have kids. I think it is great, because that means, they know themselves very well and made the best choice for them.

For you all, dammit! "Whenever things don't go so well, and you want to hit the wall and yell, Here's a little dammit doll that you can't do without. Just grasp it firmly by the legs and find a place to slam it. And as you whack the stuffing out yell, "Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!"

Cleodacat said...

I too decided to not have kids and the simple answer I give those that inquire is that I'm too selfish. I wanted to travel, skydive more than once, scuba, sail...you name it. Stuff like that takes time and money; time and money that would've been obligated to a child(ren).

Holly can afford a nanny?

My daughter says she doesn't want kids because she knows she's too selfish. She wants to spend her money on herself and do what she wants when she wants.I think it's great that she knows herself that well. She's 23 and most of the kids she went to school with have at least one kid and some have 2 or 3. And most of the ones with kids are miserable and all but one are now single Moms. It's a fact that most married couples say they were happier together before having kids. It's too bad most people don't realize that until after they have them. I think this might be Kendra, since it says child instead of baby. And she seems far more interested in her career than her husband or her child.

Add me to the list of people who don't want children. I watch friends kids for them enough to know that while I'm awesome at taking care of theme, I'm content being childless.

I also agree with those who said that for some, having chilren can really change a marriage for the worse.

Wanted kids very much. Married Hobbit Hubby, who had two of his own already, after age 40. He had had a vasectomy. Though I deeply grieved having lost my chance to spawn, at 55, after MANY serious health challenges, I could not be happier & more relieved to be childless myself.

My hubby's kid lived with us from age 15 to 20 so I got some mom time in. As messed up as I was from the traumatic brain injury 3 months before my wedding, I have a good rapport with the son, and I feel I got the experience enough to know I am better off not habing had my own.

I have a nephew that I love deeply and I love children. They like me too. I am satisfied, relieved, and content with how my life turned out childwise. I deeply admire the parents in my life and I am totally clear that parenting is the hardest job in the world and it would be very nice if a license and training were required before bringing another helpless being into being. Too many birdbrains having kids they are not equipped to raise...

TOTALLY with you on this!
