David Arquette Admits To Boozing And Doing Drugs

Yesterday morning, David Arquette was on the Howard Stern show and admitted that he is not sober any longer. He says he was sober for four months. From what I heard, it was about four days. He told the show that he was not being true to himself by being sober which of course means he is just trying to find excuses for not being sober. Being sober is not about being true to yourself, it is about staying alive and not being dependent on drugs and booze and how to get sober from alcoholism. The guy is 41 and has a daughter to think about and he is out every single night getting wasted. Not just having a drink or smoking a joint, but getting blitzed and his actions have cost him a movie which he got kicked off and he is spending money like crazy paying for all this partying and on strippers and women.

He's a hard-looking 41. I would have guessed fifty-one.

sorry to be the Howard Stern detail police. But he said he was sober for 2 years and 4 months not 4 months.

He swore he did not drink and drive and does not drink around his child and was a good father.

David is just a mess and I don't think he undertands that the booze will do him in one day and leave CoCo fatherless is sad.

I'd still date him. It would be a damn good time for awhile, and then it wouldn't.

Hes a little pussy that relies on Courtneys money. She has enabled him for so many years. He is not that talented and if it was not for his famous last name or famous ex-wife he would end up in the gutter with an attitude like that.

I don't know what went on behind closed doors, but it kinda makes you wonder how long Cox fought for their marriage and at what point she threw her hands up and said, "Eff it!" Hopefully it was before she started the tantric sex classes, though. Maybe that was just a rebound for her.

Hypothetically, of course. Who's to say she didn't make it hard on him in her own way, you know?

Anyway, he doesn't seem like a bad person. An addict, yeah, but not a bad person. I hope he gets sober again and keeps it up.

@TimeBob-
Thank you for clarifying the time (hehe) I knew he was sober for more than just 4months. The 2 year mark is a hard one. I relapsed around 2 1/2 years, but thank god it was only a short relapse.
I hope Davis gets his stuff together.

It is so sad when Howard pimps this douche as some kind of big guest. I guess compared to the 1000th appearance by Joan Rivers he is, but not really in the grand scheme of things.

Beff Oats is a vapid dunce.

He is living a good life. Nobody is granted to live up to 90 years in great shape and health, he is taking advantage of his money and youth.

I feel sad for David, but I feel even sadder for his daughter. When someone is this roller-coaster-y with addiction and sobriety, there are often deep seated reasons behind it. Not saying that's always the case, but I suspect it is in this case. I really hope he can get his shit together, if not for himself, but for his child.

He's kind of a peter pan man-child, and I have always suspected he has some mental health issues that he is covering up with his alcohol use.

I also feel sorry for his daughter, and think he ex wife tried hard, but couldn't see living with him (and his substance abuse) for the rest of her life.

I can despise his addiction, but he does seem to be a very nice person. I think he genuinely loves his daughter and ex wife, even to this day. I've never heard anyone say he was mean spirited, or dismissive towards fans. He's pretty humble about his fame, and I think he keeps getting hired because he has some talent, and people genuinely like him.

I'm rooting for him!
