This former almost A list mostly movie actress has not been in anything for a long time. Nothing. Just dropped off the map from almost A to nothing. poof. Gone. Some say it is a case of stage fright and that she can't be in front of cameras any longer, but there is a more sinister theory also out there involving her husband.

There was an old blind about Bridget Fonda where she quit acting because she was disgusted with the whole process & didn't need the money so she just quit. Good for her. Somehow bad behavior by Quentin Tarantino on the Jackie Brown set was the tipping point for her.

If it is Bridget, what's the theory? Because she was thought to be the subject of a blind on here not too long ago and the blame was on Quentin Tarantino, was it not? So which is it?
I always thought it had far more to do with her car accident and probably some subsequent soul searching and anxiety issues. (I guess anxiety would be the stage fright).
Danny Elfman is unconventional (a lot of people think he is Aspergers, like his buddy Tim Burton) but controlling? Bridget is a badass, I'd be surprised.

Geena gave up acting to begin a commission on female representation in films. She's relatively high-profile in the feminist/media circles right now. and she can be seen frequently in promotion materials for her initiative. I don't think it's her.

For reference, Bridget Fonda was last seen in a 2002 tv movie called Snow Queen. That's over 10 years. If she credited Tarantino with her desire to quit that doesn't make sense because after Jackie in 1997, she appeared in 9 movies and 4 tv movies/episodes. The "poof" was in 2002.
Angela Basset is in the new American Horror story this season. So don't think it's her.

Phoebe Cates last appeared onscreen in 2001, in a film. However she has been photographed as recently as 2011 and she looks fabulous. She has a store she runs in NYC too. So the sinister guess can't be murdered/locked up somewhere, but can be a domineering, abusive husband.
For a long time I've been wondering what happened to Michelle Pheiffer but I know she is in a new moving coming out soon with Robert De Niro. Otherwise I'd guess her.

@derek...Phoebe Cates was huge for a certain generation. Besides the legendary role in Fast Times...she was also in Gremlins amd my favortie tv movie ever, "Lace" where she delivered the classic line, "Which one of you bitches is my mother?"
And please, we cannot forget the classic film SHAG. I love that movie! Which ironically, also stars Bridget Fonda!!!!!!!!

To whoever guessed Mira Sorvino - she got married in 2004 and now has four children with her husband. FOUR. In the span of eight years (last one born 2012) There must have been hardly any time she wasn't pregnant and/or a new mother. Can;t see when she would be "fit" by Hollywood standards to act in a movie OR have time for it (though she did some anyway) ;)

I was watching Jackie Brown with my father years ago. When DeNiro was done banging Bridget, and she started to walk away, my dad paused the video tape. "You see that? You see that? She has the same ass her aunt used to have." I laughed pretty hard, because that was kinda out of character for my pop. Bridget did have a heck of an ass though.
I loooved Danny Elfman in my young years, the 80s & Oingo Boingo were pretty awesome. However, he is deeeep into the Co$. Like, deeper than Beck, his wife, Marisa & her bro, Giovanni Ribisi.
I saw some show where they interviewed PC in her shop. She looked happy and pretty. This was in the last couple of years.
