I'm just sayin' - I have an actual nosebleed problem. If I have to go to the ER, guess what they give me. Cocaine nose tampons, I call them. Cauterizes the blood vessels. Seriously, for realz.
So if this person actually *was* doing coke, it might actually have helped. That's all I'm saying.
"topical vasoconstriction" and it is referred to as a nasal tampon, so I wasn't that far off.
