Today's Blind Items - Escorting Again
Back in October 2012, I wrote a blind item about a teen actress who had been escorting for years and was pimped out by her mother. Within about a year after I wrote the blind the actress stopped escorting and refused to be pushed by her mother into doing it any longer. Our actress wanted to make it solely as an actress. Until recently she kept her promise to herself and stopped. That has all changed though. Despite her early success as a tween actress, she now has trouble landing anything bigger than a guest spot on television shows and second or third lead on low budget movies. A man who used to sleep with her frequently for money back in the day started asking her if she would consider escorting again. He started talking to her more and more often and with her bills mounting and no high paying work come in she has started escorting again. It is a much more dangerous game she is playing this time because the people she is sleeping with are all high ranking members of a Mexican cartel. Now that she has involved herself with them, she is probably not going to be able to get out of her situation very easily and may even wind up dead just to avoid her revealing anything she may have picked up.

Based on the original BI clue "She made her fame on television including one of the most critically acclaimed shows of quite some time that failed to find an audience and also on a huge tweener show, although she has never been a “tweener." I want to say it's someone from Veronica Mars, or Arrested Development
Miranda's a full-time college student at USC, which may account for her lack of roles since iCarly. Still an intriguing guess, though.

Mischa Barton is broke, has no work and a mother from hell.
If you read the comments from the original blind, the consensus was Sammi Hanratty. If not her, then someone else who is 19ish.

I looked over all the blinds from Oct 2012. The only that seems to fit is the one where most people thought it was Sammi Hanratty.
So its Mischa or Sammi?

Throwing a "Hail Mary" here and saying: Zoey Deutch (daughter of Lea Thompson). Seems unlikely perhaps, but the age fits, part on tweener show (Suite Life on Deck) fits, she had a part in the short-lived "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior", lead in "Hallelujah", small parts on tv and in movies after that. Also, her imdb bio notes she is "a big supporter of the "Corazon De Vida Orphanage" in Tijuana".
What I can't get past is the fact her parents are both fairly big in Hollywood, so why would she need to escort? Again, "Hail Mary" guess.
I'm going with Sammi Hanratty. Critically acclaimed show that didn't catch on: Pushing Daisies. Tweener show: Suite Life. And she was 17 at the time of the blind, right age.
