This B list mostly television actress who had two back to back network hits which stretched well over a decade is on her third hit now. Things are great career wise but she abandoned her kids when she divorced her husband. She no longer speaks to any of them.

Gillian Anderson only has one child, though. Plus, The X Files and Hannibal were not back-to-back. This sounds like a Cheers/Frasier situation, if Kelsey Grammar were female. I can't think of any female actress who has multiple children and multiple hit network shows, though.
And I wouldn’t call them hits. They did good but not hit territory.
Julie Bowen is still married to a "civilian," and her kids are pretty young. She was pregnant during the first few episodes of Modern Family.
Clearing some other names off the list of possibles:
Alyssa Milano has two children, two hits (although there was a 6-year gap between "Who's The Boss?" and "Charmed", so we'd be stretching it) and is currently on "Mistresses", but she's still married.
Alyson Hannigan has two daughters and had only two years off between BtVS and HIMYM. But she's still married to Wesley, er, Alexis Denisof.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus was eight years in the desert between "Seinfeld" and "Old Christine". And she and Brad Hall have been married since '87.
Patricia Heaton has four kids, but "The Middle" is still on (really?) and she's still married to David Hunt.
Courtney Thorne-Smith has been on TV pretty much regularly since 1992, across FOUR shows ("Melrose Place", "Ally McBeal", "According to Jim" and "Two and a Half Men", the last of which I had no idea about, having ruthlessly ignored that show)…but only one kid and her current marriage is still current.
Maura Tierney went literally back-to-back, going from "NewsRadio" to spending 10 seasons in the cast of "E.R.", and she's now on "The Affair" (a hit? I don't know), and she's been divorced since '06, but she has no children.
Patricia Richardson followed up "Home Improvement" with six seasons of "Strong Medicine", but that was on Lifetime, not network. and she's not on anything now.
So, I'm stumped.

Men do this all the time. They take off with a new trick, leave the wife to raise the kids and just send some money. They start a new family and the new kids get all the attention, case in point from last weeks news, Cynthia & Julian Lennon abandoned by John. Have to add he treated Yoko like cr@p also.

I posted it anyway, beacuse sadly, she does fit, and when Charmed debuted~i believe the channel was called the "WB" and it was a network(albeit brief)..also could be oversight on enterns part as half the reveals reveal foreign born suubjects who arent "foreign born" according to the blind...lol. Dunno~but i know she married a guy that seemed great, tey were happy..kaput~and shes back on career path its eems(and new BF i think:(

How sad. I am pretty certain it isn't Gillian Anderson. I saw her, DD and two children (a boy and a girl) in Vancouver late last summer. Unless they were his of course. It was a quick passing through, but the boy looked around 5-6?
Exactly, Thandie. Not GA. She was not married to the father of her two boys (and she mentions them all the time), she didn't have two long running TV shows, she got plenty of critical praise for The X-Files, The House of Mirth (2000) and Bleak House (2005). This sounds like an actress with grown-up/teenage children.
