From JV - "I have never met anyone who is so nice to every person who comes up to her. I met her for the first time ten minutes ago and I want to be her best friend forever. Seriously. She came alone but no one wants to stop talking to her because she is so nice. When I met her (foreign born B+ list mostly television actress from a very hit PBS show) I realized what a great actress she is because I expected her to be one way and she was just not that person from the show. I realize I'm also a little drunk."

Joanna plays a nice person on Downton Abbey--sounds like someone who's very very different than the role she plays.

It's Laura Carmichael, who plays Lady Edith on Downton Abbey. Orphan Black is not on PBS.
I know this is BBC not PBS but i don't see anyone there from Downton Abbey who plays a meanie at the Emmys

People are surprised she's pretty in real life, not like on the show.
Laura Carmichael, though I don't think she's B+. Joanna Frogatt is probably B+ but she was there with her husband.
Jon Hamm. I know the clue says it's a woman, but I think it's Jon Hamm. Also, the show isn't on PBS. Also, even though the clue says "nice," it really means "drunk."
And, man, Enty, your clues suck. Seriously. That clue just does NOT describe Jon Hamm. Gawd!
who's JV is the better question.
She looks pretty in every photo I've seen, red carpet and otherwise, except from the show. I don't understand how DA does that.
