Dad Did It
Redmond O'Neal pleaded not guilty to all of those nasty drug charges that were a result of his arrest last year. You know. The arrest where he and dad Ryan O'Neal were both taken into custody when officers found a stash in dad's room.
Ryan O'Neal pleaded guilty to all the charges against him. So, I'm guessing Redmond was thinking to himself. OK, Redmond probably wasn't thinking to himself, because I'm not sure Redmond can even think anymore from all the drugs he has ingested into his body. So, his lawyer was probably thinking they can just blame everything on the dad and Redmond will be able to walk free. What the hell. Dad already said he did it, so why should Redmond also have to go to jail.
Redmond needs to be found not guilty or he is going to jail for a very long time. Three months before he and dad got arrested together, Redmond was put on three years of probation. If he gets convicted, especially the felony count of meth possession he will be a guest of the government for awhile. He might need that though. He is only 24. Make him serve a year and see what happens.

jail's not rehab and you can get drugs inside easier than outside.
With his abusive dad and loopy mom, both addicts, he didn't stand a chance. He'll end up dead before either of his parents.
wow, why is the dad taking the complete fall. talk about a dysfunctional family. those people are scary.
I don't often feel sorry for a drug addict, but I've got to agree with Momster - kid never stood a chance. How did FF and RON (who was quite the looker, years gone by)end up with a child who looks like that?!
I think Ryan picked the wrong time to FINALLY do the right thing by one of his kids.

Jax - do you mean FF was using meth when pregnant with him? or his meth use? Not that it matters...he wasn't even a cute baby IIRC.
I can't stand either of them. Both should do some type of time or community service or something.
He is just doing this to avoid jail for a couple more moths. He will enter a guilty plea at his next hearing. (also to reduce jail time).

but now that you mention it, woudln't surprise me if he was born withg FAS. FF was a mess then too.
I know Ryan's rotten but I love him in movies.
I forgive him.
