Despite the fact that it would so satisfying to hate him, I think Clooney really is the rare attractive guy who is also a real person. He was not always attractive. 'Ugly' kids turn out more down-to-earth, imo.

@califblondy - yeah, that's what I was thinking. Alison Sweeney - that's her name! I know she struggled, but she's had it together for a few years now, whereas Caroline Rhea hasn't been able to keep if off. That's what I'm wondering - whether Alison is a better "face" (read: body) for the show.

@rocket queen - I think I remember reading that's exactly why they switched to Alison Sweeney. After struggling for years, she has managed to keep it off, which is what one of the goals of the contestants is - to keep the weight off. Caroline Rhea still struggles with her weight. They felt Ali could speak better to the challenges of losing the weight and keeping it off.

I worked on an event with the Reeves' daughter, Alex, while she was at Yale - she surprised me with what a kind, down to Earth and elegant person she was. Really impressive.

I cannot WAIT to see Precious, but discovered that it's not playing in my area. The closest theater is an hour and a half away, and as much as I want to see it, that's a bit far for a movie. Hopefully it will be well received and the distribution areas will be expanded.

This may sound rude, but Katie Holmes has always had 'big girl' legs. Some of these really thin chicks have them and I laugh. It's as though they were meant to be bigger girls but they starve themselves for the Hollywood machine.
