Kate Gosselin Is Out Of A Job
For some reason the cancellation of Kate Plus 8 did not last very long when it was announced last year. This time though the nail is firmly shut on TLC ever showing Kate Gosselin on a weekly basis again. I hope. I did watch the season premiere this year and that was enough for me. It was Kate's birthday and her friend gave her a surprise trip to New York. Probably ruined her bodyguard's romantic plans and that one on one time with Kate, and Kate never seemed all that happy to see the friend or to be going anywhere in public with the friend. She just never seems happy ever. Just a bitter woman which is kind of shocking if you think about it because she should be the most grateful, thankful person ever. Instead of having to struggle to get by with 8 kids she always seems entitled and condescending to everyone around her. She is definitely not the same person who long ago got a tattoo and probably did some things on the edgy side. She is wound so tight now that it is painful to watch her, so I am glad that TLC took her off the air.

Wow....what a FANTASTIC picture that is...someone help me...she totally resembles some scary cartoon character here, but I just can't put my foot on it!
mngddess, she probably won't be able to *afford* to stay home with those kids. And I have NEVER watched this show...I read somewhere where before they were even on television, that she felt entitled to any and all public and private assistance and it seems her entitlement issues began way before TLC.

To her defense (and this is prob the first and only time I have ever done this) I would look like that with eight kids, too. Probably all day, every day.

Slowly, the nation is waking up from our past nightmares. This is one scary dream I'm not going miss. I wish her children well, though. Her next stop will be Disney.

This is a joyeous day. Now if TLC would only get rid of What Not To Wear...I might start watching it again, instead of watching the pants tightening goodness that is The Science Channel.
And here's another 8 kids for tax payers to support. Not only will they need to be fed and schooled but most will also be in and out of jail and mental hospitals for the remainder of their lives, never actually getting to that point in life where they are self supporting productive and peaceful citizens of the universe. Thanks Kate! Great job!!

Sorry Sue Ellen..Didn't read your post before I posted mine. My dad remarried after my mom died and he called his step-daughter Ursula right to her face (was in her 30's), she was vile and really was an almost spitting image of Ursula lol
Great minds, kelly, great minds. I've known a lot of people who resemble Ursula. All it takes is for someone to be sour on the inside and you look like a sea monster.
I can't remember the last time I saw her with any of those 8 kids...
I won't miss her or her Nikki Sixx haircut.
You know its too bad Ursula evokes such a scary image of the Little Mermaid villian because taken out of context I actually really dig that name. Its very powerful sounding.

Seriously, I actually HOPE to see her in the media after this. I would loveee to see what sorts of odd gigs she gets that will hopefully knock some much deserved humility into that beaver weaved head of hers.
There are people that wish and hope everyday for kids and this mean spirited bitch got 8- sigh. Sometimes there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the way life plays out.
I remember watching their first show. It wasn't even Jon and Kate +8 at that point. It was just 1 hour with a random couple who had 6 kids at once + 2 twins and how they were dealing with the kids and their work schedules. Because back then she was still working as a nurse on the dialysis (I think) unit. They looked so normal then! Especially when there were in NICU holding their babies. They actually looked like a sweet couple. If you don't believe me google it! seems like a lifetime ago...

I hope she's managed to put enough money away for the kids' schooling. Most people have issues with one or two children, but eight? Good luck to her.

@paulealex - I believe you. But after she got all that money and had all that ass kissing, I'm sure just like anyone else, it goes to your head a bit.
Sorry but I have not one ounce of sympathy for her. I know she didn't ask to have ALL those kids but she had plenty of years of good living and thousand dollar haircuts and cry me a fucking river if she didn't invest or budget that money better.
Ya know Reality Stars (and I use that word very tongue in cheek)remind me of child actors. Years ago no one knew the damage it caused them or thought about how they were going to assimilate into the regular, every day world. Same with these guys. Especially when Enty opens up with Snookie standing up her fans. There's gonna be a lot of people on the streets unable to fend for themselves because they cannot go back to where they were or they were never somewhere in the first place. Sad (and somewhat karmic) in a way.
To me, she looks like a bleached blonde version of Victoria Beckham in that photo. lol
