The Whole Rehab Thing Did Not Work Out For Gerard Butler

I think the fact that Gerard Butler only stayed in rehab a couple of weeks shows he probably was not all that serious about it in the first place. Either that or he thought he was fine after a few weeks. Whatever his reasoning he was spotted at The Troubadour over the weekend getting his drink on and was blitzed. Apparently "pain medications" are not all he has problems with and when Gerard gets drunk he gets sweaty, so if you have a fetish for that, then he might be your guy. I sweat a lot too, but somehow it seems way less attractive on a guy who is fat and bald like me. On a movie actor different adjectives are used. For instance, you might say Gerard is glistening. With me you would say, "You are dripping your nasty sweat all over my table." I think Gerard might have gone to rehab for alcohol a few years ago too, but I can't remember. So many celebrities so much time in rehab.

He should really never make that face again.

Going to rehab for a couple of weeks never seems like a good plan. Maybe he'll get it right next time...

It was more than pain killers, but that always sounds oh gee it's not my fault....
He's been drinking heavily for about 2 years now after quitting drink and smoking.....oh well

he probably thinks drugs are a bigger trouble than alcohol.
Remember he's scottish

Until he's ready...not much one can do before that except be vigilant of their safety so they MAKE it to the rehabilitation process.

That is a FISH FACE........

It's all the same, jeesh. He shouldn't be doing anything at all if he was just in rehab.

Oh, well. He looked great, for about two days...

wasn't this a blind vice a few weeks ago?

Ew, there's nothing more disgusting than a drunk, sweaty guy. That is one disgustingly rank smell.

I agree with FrenchGirl, I think his big problem was painkillers & coke.

As a Scott he probably thinks drinking is fine (though it often leads back to to coke for most former users.)

omg - the sweats you get from mixing a percocet and alcohol. So annoying.

The guy came out of rehab and had to listen to the world talk about how small and limp his privates are. That would drive me to relapse too.

He was so hot in 300. Since then...all down hill. He's also a pig. I don't know how girls let this creep touch them. Spittle. Gross.

He strikes me as a guy that would be fun to hang out with but NOT date. Of course, I don't think he knows how to just "hang" with a female.

I just read the "homewrecker" bit on another site - who's his married GF? Was this a blind and I missed it?

@em I just read that on celebitchy

He was on Howard Stern in September promoting machine gun preacher and said he hadn't had a drink in 14 years. Didn't mention pills or coke though.

Maybe the National Enquirer doesn't know the difference between Irish and Scottish (the drunk hunk BI)

I have always thought Butler was pretty hot, but not so much anymore!! I detest a drunk, especially a sweaty drunk. You can also just kind of tell that he's a mean, argumentative drunk. They are the worst!

Enty, I would tell this assclown that he was dripping nasty sweat all over my table. I would then tell him that his sweat smells like ass. Nothing glistening about this mess.

And I mean straight up mess, not hot mess.

I wonder if that face is also his O-Face. Knowing that in advance would surely put a lady off.

Alcohol is a drug - period. At least that is what we believe in NA.

Two weeks does not an addiction recovery make. Anyone who's ever been an addict, known an addict, or hell, has two brain cells to rub together, knows that two weeks isn't enough time to kick cigarettes, much less pills, booze and all that jazz.

GB's biggest problem is being loyal to the people who are his biggest enablers instead of getting rid of them, doing a proper rehab and going to therapy for his real issues. It's really sad b/c he's actually a fun and sweet guy but, yeah, you wouldn't want to date him and sometimes not even be friends with him, in this condition anyway.

This is too bad. Substance abuse is a disease, and although I don't especially like the guy, I hope he kicks it.

I wonder if his going to rehab is something that his people suggested because his substance abuse has made him less employable. If you have a reputation of not showing up performance-ready, I would think you would find your opportunities drying up. What risk manager wants to worry about such an unreliable product?

I agree with EVERYTHING Wonder Woman said. Right on! True.

Is this a current photo? I'm not sure it is.

No. This is NOT a recent photo, and not a photo from that night. Not even close. And it would be a good idea for you to check your facts before spewing your information. A LEGITIMATE source reported just the opposite of his demeanor that night, and that reporter actually was there the whole time. Were you?

Well said! Seriously makes me laugh at the jealousy his mere existence elicits.
